What is a good breakfast place to go to in the morning? As in 8ish.

    I'm in the midtown/montrose area.

    Thx.

To your pantry for a bowl of Kashi cereal. Saves money and moves your bowels. ;)

Blargh! That won't work. I've got someone who would like an actual meal.

BTW, for those who are in the Hobby area, Kelley's is the bomb.

They bring you freaking sausage biscuits and gravy like Mexican places bring chips and salsa!

    I highly recommend it.

DAMN!! I think I just keeled over in pain just reading that breakfast lineup. Man I know that stuff is good but I cringe at it now.

I love La Peep for breakfast, but I don't know of one in the midtown area. I think the closest one to you would be on westheimer, right inside the loop. Good variety and good quality. Buffalo Grille is so-so, I wasn't that impressed with it. I've heard people rave about the Breakfast Klub, but I've never been there myself.

I know it isn't anywhere close to Midtown but if any of you get up here by The Woodlands, there is a place called The Egg and I off of Research Forest by Shenandoah. It. Forking. Rocks.

I second the Breakfast Klub suggestion... Every morning on the way to work, my bus turns right there from Alabama onto Travis. It's all I can do not to hop off, grab some wings and waffles, and be an hour late to work. :(

La Mexicana on Montrose near Fairview. They have the best casual Mexican dining in Houston. They have fantastic breakfast tacos!

Damn, I drove by there everyday for a while when I was working a job at the Huntsman pilot plant over there, but I never stopped and tried it. I'm not really much of a breakfast place, but I considered it there because of the weird name. Now I wish I had.

The Egg and I is my favorite place for breakfast. The food is great and the price is reasonable. The Sunday lines are kind of long though.

Man anything Kashi is awesome. Their chewy granola bars are the greatest.

Not exactly Montrose or Midtown, but you should try the breakfast at Goode Company Hamburgers (the taqueria) on Kirby near 59.
