    Pipe dream.

He will never return to form. I feel for the guy, but if anything if wanted to try a return it should be in Portland. They love him up there...

    No, no, no.

Are we so starved for talent that we want these injured guys?

We went through Yao and McGrady, someone recently suggested Oden, now Roy. Ha I just don't get it.

rockets might as well just hire him to hang out with the team rather than take up a roster spot.

It would be a great story (assuming he got back to full strength).

Could we sign him for 2 year min deal? His contract would go back on blazers books if signed (nice!). And next year he would be helpful and a cost-effective option - especially if we move a lot of pieces and make a major move.

They can just hobble over here. If they make it without breaking apart, they get a contract. :)

    1) He is still retired
    2) Even IF he managed to get back on the court, it will be as a shell of his former self.
    3) Have we not had enough of guys that are an injury from never being able to play again?

Seeing as he isn't even in the league at this point, this isn't even a possibility, and even if it turns out to be possible, you can discuss it in the existing Roy thread in the Dish
