Baron hasn't signed anything yet. Either way, I think Baron just wanted to play in his hometown regardless.
I'll believe it when it's official. If it happens, this is great for the Sixers. Now the Warriors or some other sappy team can overpay for Josh Smith. For Baron Davis, too bad. Enjoy your hometown.
STUPID move by the Sixers. They aren't in champion contention but are a rising young team, and sign an old injury-prone player to what I'm guessing is a multiyear almost max contract..
Do you feel that Baron could re-negotiate with the Warriors even if he doesn't get what he wants from them since he hasn't signed with LAC? Will GS want him back after all the melodrama? My gut feeling is that Baron is a proud man and won't go back to GS,but I would like to know other opinions.
injury prone? he had a season ending injury this past season but other than that he's been quite durable.
Cassell took the Clips to the playoffs. Can BDiddy follow Sam's footsteps? Al Thorton was pretty good last year, I think the Clips will be alright.
warriors with davis are easily better than the clips with davis and no brand or maggette(unless sterling overpays to keep corey after losing elton). he signed in LA to play with brand besides the hometown factor.
I doubt it, he would get so much backlash if he backed out of his new agreement. Plus he does want to be in LA.
This can't be true. Didn't they say Brand was signing with Clippers a few days ago. The clips just went from contender to doormat if Brand does sign with Philly, Boston raised the bar in the east, everyone will be trying to put together a big 3 to compete.
Well, the Sixers just got a whole hell of a lot better. Now, I suppose the Clippers can retaliate and throw the Brand money at Josh Smith and see if the Hawks are smart enough to match.
