I am selling a brand new in box still sealed, never opened PS3 system. It is the 40GB version and comes with a wireless remote and the spider man Blue Ray movie. It also comes with FREE PLAYSTATION Network registration. I received it in March, but haven't used it and never opened it and I wasn't much of a gamer. This is someone's chance to get a $433.00 (399.99 plus tax = $433.00) system for no tax and a $20.00 discount. I am selling it for $380.00 Cash, meet up anywhere reasonable in Houston.

Get it in time to play GTA4

    Not really.

Do you know how much it wears on a game system just having it shipped a number of times? And that a lot of times companies won't give the same support to secondhand owners than they would the original owners? And the fact that you have to wait for it instead of having it right here, right now? And the fact that if it breaks right away, you can't just take it right back to the store?

Were I selling a 40GB model, I would never even ask for more than $350 in the first place.

it loses it's value once it leaves the store. if you're gonna spend $380 why not spend $19 more and get for $399 flat. no tax. not shipping.....$389 with google checkout at buy.com. no offense to the OP. im sure he's telling the truth when he says it's unopened, but why not just buy it from a store KNOWING it will be unopened straight from sony.

Good point.. plus the box could have roaches, or he could have dropped it or kept it in a humid area.

actually I'd want to buy a system that's been used already but still in good condition...1) the price should come down lower then retail and more room for negotiating...2) system has already been QC'd for you, I don't think any member here would consciously try to sell a lemon or malfunctioning unit.

No, I had one for sale. Everytime I tried to sell it, it was one of those people who are like, "I have my own fedex account number, this xbox is for my daughter who lives in Germany...blah blah." Then their account gets deleted for fraud. That happened 3 times. On the 4th time, the guy paid but it was stolen paypal account. So after I got the money, I had to give the money back to paypal. Luckily I didn't ship right away. Otherwise I would have been out a brand new xbox and whatever it was I was selling it for. I think it was like $200.
