it think that elton brand should not be roy because he is the only player who can score on his team. When Kukoc was playing before he got injured then trade, brand was averaging like 14 a game. Francis is the ROY whether they pick him or not! ------------------

And in all actuality I believe Brand was averaging around 18 and 10 when Toni was a Bull. I can see merit as to why both players derserve the award.
As much as I hate Brand I have to admit he is good. He is not the best rookie though. Franchise is the best rookie and if you look at his stats it proves that. Stevie is a great all around player while Elton is a scorer and is a fair rebounder, he has an average that varries from 10-9 boards per game, not solid rebounding numbers for a big man. In a season where there seems to be a lack of big time down low players Brand is not taking advantage of some of his easy matchups. Steve on the other hand has to face the best guards and gets great numbers on them. Though it looks as if they will be co-rookies of the year. ------------------ THE DEAN
Umm....9-10 rebs per game is considered "fair"? I wish Cato would average half as many. Brand is going to be another Tom Gugliotta. Yeah they are good, but ultimately just awesome roll players, not megastarts that could lead a team all the way. ------------------
