I'm having some serious trouble with the brakes on my truck and I was hoping that someone here knew of a mechanic here in town that I could trust to get the job done right and at a fair price.

I have a great mechanic in another town, but I don't want to drive that far with the way my truck is right now.

    Thanks

I used to know a guy who worked at Brake Check on S. Lamar, but I'm not sure that you could get the hookup.... I wish I could help, but I haven't talked to him since October, so I'm pretty sure he'd get pissed if the first thing I say to him in 7 months is to hook you up. :( Sorry. Good luck though!

Can't help you (other than to give your thread a bump), but I did want to warn fellow Houstonians away from Mikey's (on Almeda). He's a crook.

Talk to Tony @ the Auto Stoppe, it is on Burnet just north of 45th. He is very honest and doesn't try to sell you anything you don't need.

Thank you franchise403. I will take it to Tony on Monday when I get some money.
