BEAL This is all I've seen of Beal, but the guy looks like a stud in those highlights. Sorta like Iguodala with a better jumper. Granted I haven't seen nearly enough of the guy, but I like him better than Barnes already.

This guy can be a special SG in the NBA. For you Rubio fans, the chance at Beal is why you want them to focus this season on developing players more than winning.
Eric Gordon's could very well end up like Ben Gordon. Dwyane Wade, sure, but dude is a freak. We'll see.
He's tall enough for SG. There have been plenty of great shooting guards that size. His wingspan is 6 foot, 7.5 inches, also. Big fan of Beal, he may be available in the range where our Knicks pick falls.
I like Beal a lot, and if he's BPA by the time our pick is on the clock, i wouldn't weep if we took him, but SG is our least position of need right now, and drafting him with our first pick would necessitate trading Martin. I'd rather have a center, I'd rather have a SF, and I'd rather have a PF that could play both sides of the ball. If Beal is the next Eric Gordon, hell yes. If he's the next Ben Gordon, hell no. SG is the easiest spot to fill in the NBA, so if you draft one early, you better be right. But i do like the kid, I think he's got excellent versitility, and a well rounded game. Very adept at passing, rebounding and defending the perimeter. From a risk standpoint, he's one of the least risky picks in the draft.
I'll be surprised if K-Mart is still a Rocket after the trade deadline. I'll be shocked if he's on the roster next season. Assuming Morey makes a big trade, what we get back will determine draft needs. Beal has all the tools to be very successful in the NBA.
I wonder who we will be targeting...id bet we could get just about anything if we wind up with picks in the 8-10 range and 12-14 range...plus trading established player. Say hornets win...we can be like we give you our first 2 picks...and budinger or parsons to move up and get no 1. Is that enough? Be amazing to get the no 1 guy and finally have the star to build around...be great with lowry and his nice contract give us 3 years to really develop something.
the Hornets would be a team I see holding on to that pick at all costs. I think Stern would want the buzz that comes with having the #1 pick on your roster to help sell some tickets, or even con some poor sap into buying the franchise...
He seems like a Moreyball type player too. Morey often goes for these guys who are slightly undersized but have a very advanced and versatile skill set to make up for it.
Beal is a shooting guard period. At 6'4 with his athletic ability he'll be fine. The guy has skill & fire as well. He could excel in the NBA.
