Tonight, in the Bulls-Lakers game, late in the game Brad Miller and Charles Oakely nailed Shaquille O'Neal with a bad cheapshot as he was trying to post up.

O'Neal got mad, very, very mad. He went after Miller, wound up, and let fly with a punch that would've decapitated Miller had it landed. Miller was walking away from O'Neal at the time, or else he would've suffered worse injuries than Rudy did from Kermit Washington's punch.

Brad Miller really, really got lucky that he isn't in a hospital right now.

I turned that game on two seconds before the fight started. I have to say, it was a guilty pleasure. Good for Shaq. Even though he gets away with a lot, he still isn't a dirty player. He gets hacked a little too hard sometimes. It was nice to see him stand up for himself. What an exciting sequence that was.

When I saw him do that, I couldn't help but think that Shaq fights just like he shoots free throws - he can't hit a thing. Just look at a tape of when he swung at Chuck, or tonight's game. Looks like the Bulls might beat the Lakers tonight.

I just lost what respect that I had for Shaq. Yeah, he got hacked and he should be mad, but you don't swing at people w/ their back turned.

Brad Miller was walking away and Shaq wound up and threw a roundhouse that could have seriously ended Miller's career. Punching someone with their back turned is WEAK.

    Also - watching this game . . .

sans O'Neal, Bryant was getting owned by Artest - I defy anyone to say that Bryant is a better player than Steve Francis(or a number of other players for that matter).

Kobe has one off game and people forget everything he has done in the past.

    Interesting.

Was Shaq's fist closed or was that a roundhouse slap to the head coming?

Whatever it was, I bet Shaq is happy it didn't hit. Nobody needs Kermit Washington kind of guilt.

This could really shake up the Lakers.

Well in the video provided by SF3, it looks like Miller hit Shaq pretty hard, and then Shaq hit Miller. So I don't know why you said Shaq was bullying Miller...

THEN later on, Miller hit Shaq, and Shaq went after Miller.

I say good for Shaq, don't let the Brad Miller's of the world take shots at you everytime you catch the ball.

Man, Shaq is a straight bi*ch!! Did you'll see that weak swing....not to mention swinging on man when his back is turned.

I find it funny that Shaq didn't mind decking the crap out of a small guard a few years back (anyone remember that).

Oakley hit Shaq at the same time as Miller & I notice he didn't go after him. Now, that would've been interesting.

    PURE COWARD ACT OF SHAQ

Tries to punch him from BEHIND what coward. You face a man if your gonna hit him not nail him when hes not looking.

Expect a 5 game suspension for shaq maybe even more!

And to think they want this guy to be a police officer when he retires?. Can we say police brutality.

Pure sucker punch that barely missed brad.
Shaqs lucky someone did not pick up a chair and whack him good!

    Any fans get hurt?

Had his back not been turned and walking away, he would be a dead man right now. You should be thankful. That punch wasn't just thrown, it was launched!

Everyone that's all for hack-a-shaq should have known he was going to break sooner or later.

I mean I'm extremely happy to see Shaq not connect on Brad Miller, but if I was getting hacked all night long, and then had 1 guy jump on my back and rake his arms accross mine and have his buddy slam me in the head, I'd want to beat someone's ass too.

But of course, in a moment of rage, he should have asked for Brad Miller to turn around so he could punch him in the face...we all think clearly when we're pissed off, right...

Very well put BGM. People seem to think Shaq is invincible or something, and he isn't bothered by all the punishment and brusing he receives inside. Shaq takes more crap than anyone in the league being intentionally hacked and whacked every game. It is amazing that he hasn't gotten into more scuffles than he has. I'm a pretty calm, patient guy myself, and I know I have gotten to the point where I wanted to, or did, punch someone while in the middle of a game. Things like that naturally happen. A little contact here, a push there..this continues and soon enough someone is going to blow a fuse..and like BGM said, once that fuse it set off, a pissed off person isn't going to go just walk up and tap Brad Miller on the shoulder and say "lets go right now!"
