Like its been said, everybody smokes weed! Its not just the so called "thugs and gangsters" of the NBA. Weed isn't discriminant. It loves all colors, shapes and sizes. I'm just curious of what kind of reaction this news will receive. At least Josh Howard admitted to smoking in the OFF SEASON and has yet to fail a drug test.
So let me get this straight this is his 3rd violation and he only gets sat down for 5 games........well hell *****, no wonder they smoke it up in the NBA, all that is, is a week and a half vacation. He'll probably blaze during his time off. I'm mean seriously no wonder why Josh Howard isn't scared to openly come out on national TV and tell the world he smokes..........what is the NBA going to do?
well... does a suspension that'll cost you more than a half million dollars counts as "something NBA can and will do"? seriously, do that math, a 5 game suspension is about 7% of the season. that doesn't sound a lot until you multiply it by the salaries they are getting, and the amount becomes quite substantial...
well... they can always smoke a half dozen times more if they feel they got way too much money to waste away...
Real talk I had a cousin that played in the NBA and he kept getting in trouble and suspended with substance abuse. The owners and GM knows the player smoke the only time they really get them tested if they're to out in the opening or a charity event high because they're trying to protect there image. It wouldn't be strange if Rick or Morey came to one of the players room on the road and see three or four players passing the blunt.
GHB doesn't seem to get a mention so unless that's lumped with mar1juana a 5 day suspension is most likely for mar1juana. http://www.nbpa.com/cba_articles/article-XXXIII.php
