I think Brad Miller hinted that he would like to join the rockets or stay with the bulls. I am not sure If i am reading too much inbetween the lines but I think he just suggested houston. he would be a great back up for Yao(this topic has been discussed a lot on this board already). Get it done if so.... Thought this article is a good read even though it does not directly partain to Houston. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sport...-bulls-cavs-chicago--20100427,0,2044990.story
True but I am sure he knows that houston is interested.... I am sure that most players know which teams has high interests.... So i can see this being as some what of a hint, if it was meant to be.
he simply said, right now, houston and knicks are interested.. and he didn't want to go to the knicks.. so the choice will be between houston, chicago bulls if they offer, and other teams who may offer as well..
He didnt say anything about Houston. The author said Houston and NY...Miller just said not NY. When he said that, Houston could have not even been on his mind.
Funny how a pending FA is flatly denying interest in a team. What's Miller's problem with the Knicks?
He would be a pretty good backup for Yao. Play yao 25 minutes a game and give Miller about 20? We can slide Jordan Hill to the C for like a few minutes per game if both of those players are on the bench. Or Chuck.
I'm sure he sees the writing on the wall. LeBron is staying in Cleveland, Wade is either going to Chicago, or staying in Miami, Bosh is probably not going to New York......who does that leave for the Knicks? Amar'e? Joe Johnson? Hardly a contender does that make. Plus, at 34, he can afford to make decisions without taking money into consideration now. He's had his big deal in the NBA.....now it's just about which team is the best fit for him.
We definitely need another slow, unathletic big man who doesn't defend the paint. He isn't the answer at C and even if he is a stopgap it means the Rockets are probably not going to the playoffs.
SAY no to Brad Miller. Rockets don't need a offensive center they a need a defensive center someone like Marcus Camby. I know Camby is staying in portland but he would've been a perfect backup.
Actually, Brad Miller didn't even say that only Houston/New York are interested. He just said he isn't going to New York. Still, Houston would likely be on his short list due to Rick Adelman.
I would only pick him up if we agreed to buyout the remainder of Anderson's contract and send him back to Europe. Even then, Miller should be a 3rd string center at best, something he probably doesn't want to do.
