I do not want to get too carried away but I did warn earlier that Tmo must not be counted out. People should remember that he has an all-round game. In fact he should be put in with the PF's and not the SF's. I remember in last year's team picture, it appeared that he was taller that MoT. The end result may simply be that he and KT swished positions. What depth! Deepest frontline in basketball!

TMo will be lucky to land on the IR I think. Not that I am not rooting for him, we are just that deep:

Steve, Cat, Yao, Rice, Taylor - Mooch, Oscar, KT, EG, Cato - Boki, Tito- IR: Mickeal, TMo - Others: Tierre, Collier

    It's going to be tough...

Tito Maddox, the other guard (besides Mooch) that has a guaranteed contract...

I think Morris will have a hard time finding playing time. With Rice, Nachbar and Thomas at the 3. In fact, although I love the guy's game, am I the only one suprised that Kenny hasn't been traded yet? HMMMMMM!

if we ever see "t-mo" wearing anything other than street clothes the rockets are in serious, deep doo doo.

    1. Mickeal will not make the team.
    2. Tito will be on IR before Brown. He is an investment for the future. He has not played for sometime and need to sit and learn. Brown is clearly ready and although another team did not come for him, it is still early and he could be the Damon Jones of this year.
    3. Do not discount the challenge of the transistion for Boki. He is clearly highly talented but if Tmo is determined enough, he will not routinely end up on IR. Remember of all our forwards, Tmo is probably the best ball handler and passer, which is not lost on Rudy.

You can consider Tmo part of the rotation and expect the transistion on Boki to be extended. With Rice and MoT apparently iffy, it is good to have talented players step up. It is only one game but he is an impressive as anyone so far.

When motivated and confident, Morris can do a little of everything. Morris can fill a stat sheet when he's playing well like his early college days. I hope he does well enough to ship Rice out. i know depth is good, but i think we have too many players at the 3 and 4 spots.

Tito Maddux was a 2nd round pick...there is no reason he should have a guaranteed contract.

Personally I'd cut Oscar or put him on the IR before TMo or Tito.

And I don't really see a need for Tierre at all.

Way too aggressive looking for his own shot for a 3rd string point guard. When Steve goes out of the game, I think the point guards should be looking to get the other starters that are still on the floor involved (MoT, KT, Ming, Cat).

We don't need Tierre driving, out of control, with the ball every time he touches it.

And if you think KT should be traded you're crazy. He was everywhere tonight. Probably the one player on the floor so far most looking to board. In great shape. Decent shot. Great moves to the hoop. Driving right past Gooden.

Why Trade KT? It makes no sense.

I am with DearRock, we can't have enough hard playing, gazelle-runnin' 3-pt shootin forwards this year. If we are going to run like they say we are then wee need as many fresh legs in the game as we can get night-in and night-out.

If he keeps this up i am going to have to pencil him back ito my non-official line-up :D

We haven't seen Nachbar play yet so we can't tell if T-Mo is a better passer or ballhandler than him.
But I'm very happy to see T-Mo do so well today. He won't be on the IR.

If T-Mo shoots higher than 47% through the whole preaseason, KT is gone by game 6 of the regular season.

I'm hoping that T-Mo has found his comfort zone with this team and will be able to take his game to the next level. Not everybody can come in and contribute immediately in the NBA. Each player has to adjust in his own time. I hope Terrence Morris is ready to show that he belongs on this team.

I'd be perfectly content to see TMo take Nachbar's minutes if he's playing quality. It would be frustrating not to see Nachbar in action, but Nachbar's not going anywhere. I'd rather give TMo the opportunity to prove to a team if not the Rockets that he deserves to be part of an NBA rotation.

I like Kenny and hope he stays with the team, but until the renewal of the SF experiment, I was fantasizing about a long-term double-headed monster at the 3 of Nachbar and TMo. I think they complement each other well.

DearRock, you think TMo is better suited to the 4? Can you elaborate a bit more? What about on defense? Is he a better perimeter man-to-man defender or low-post? What about for weakside help?
