(Boxing) Steve Forbes vs. Grady Brewer

It should be fun watching these guys without video editing. I think there will also be a fight between Bravo and K-9. That fight should be interesting also.

 

I'm puling for Grady to win the main event, but Forbes is tough. I like both guys. Should be a good fight.

They should have put a warning at the beginning that it was gonna be a snoozefest. Thank you Mr.Brewer and Mr.Forbes, for putting me to sleep.

 

Yeah, it's was a bit of let down but I think it was Brewers game plan so that Forbes couldn't use his hand speed to his advantage, he pretty much did what he had to to win

 

The Brewer/Forbes fight wasnt the most entertaining but Grady definetly neutralized Forbes speed. He fought a smart fight. I was pulling for Grady ever since Vinroy called him a coward and Brewer shut his mouth. It was cool to see the underdog win.

I am really surprised at how K-9 just killed Bravo though. What was Bravo thinking? Standing there and just letting K9 tee of with those rights was crazy.

 

Grady fought a VERY smart fight, doing exactly what he had to do to win. All of his fights he fought strategically, minimizing his risk and still able to score points. He beat Bravo, Vinroy and Steve Forbes. You can't look at that and assume he was lucky, he was smart IMHO.

K9 is just so awkward to fight, he ties you up and holds on you and leans on you and then WHAM, he pounds you. I was glad to see both of those guys win last night and I have to admit the Contender got me interested in boxing for the first time in a VERY long time (think back to holyfield losing part of his ear during the tyson buffet fight).

 

anyone else think these guys would get dominated by any of the top 10 in their division

 

they would get destroyed. these guys fought like journeymen.

 

So why is it such a big deal? Cuz ESPN says so? I've never thought highly of the contender fighters......

 

i never did either, all the contender fighters suck. every single one of them would get 0wned in a real professional fight against anyone even remotely good.
ESPN made a big deal cuz...um...i dont really know, i guess cuz its sports. and alot of people watch the show.

 

Every time I turn this show on, they're playing dramatic music and someone is crying.

 

i guess thats why people like it, crying and dramatic music can surely help anything that is boring. Yesterdays fight was the same kinda fight on the contender except no dramatic music or editing or sound effects.
