    Here we go.

I love Latin Fury because they always put together action fights.

Some intriguing fights here. Will Jr. step out of his daddy's shadow. Will Duddy come out on top.

    I'm ready to find out.

Good card I think, but I really dislike Chavez Jr. He will never ever even come close to being like his father. Dude is like 41-0 and has fought nothing but trash. I know he didn't have an amateur career but I don't know, the kid just doesn't get my attention.

Now that Roach was working with him it will be good to see if it sharpened his skills. Regardless, he will never be able to compete with the elite in the sport. I hope Duddy puts him on his ass.

Don't know if you saw the fight, but it was a war. Chavez Jr. looked really good. Both were trading shots all night, with Jr. getting the better of them. I never seen him look this good. No matter what, Duddy kept coming forward while Chavez was landing the overhand right over and over. Very surprised by his performance and could be ready for an elite fighter in 2 or 3 fights with Roach. Also was probably one of the better fights this year.

Yeah, it was. Duddy came to fight. I was very pleased with every fight on the card save Barrera's. I flipped over to Cyborg's fight. Those chicks created some high drama.

One thing about the Latin Fury series is that, although they may not pit to stars together to fight and they charge you sometimes a lot compared to the caliber of fighters matching up together, their cards, just about always, entertain me.

Did you see the vicious shot Martinez landed against Gabriel Elizondo? It was like a jackhammer.

    Great night for boxing.

The only thing that impressed me was the fact that Jr. kept coming forward even after getting caught with some good solid shots. He definitely has some heart.

Other than that, he has A LOT to work on. He has a weak jab, he drops it and doesn't bring it straight back. None of his punches have any snap to them other than his left hook to the body. His footwork is terrible. There was a point in the fight where he went southpaw, and it didn't look intentional. He has this weird lunging wide left hook. He tries to jump into it like Roy Jones and Mayweather do. Only difference is Roy and Floyd have the speed and don't throw it wide. Also when Jr. throws that left hook he drops his right hand. I realize he is still young, but he was getting hit too much, with shots that could have been avoided. He lacks any head movement. If he gets in there with a harder puncher or a slick boxer, he will get laid out in the first 3 rounds.

I did like the adjustment he made after the 3rd round where he didn't lean on the ropes anymore. I don't even think he touched the ropes for the rest of the fight. He kept the fight in the center of the ring, but he didn't box Duddy. He traded shots and that style, while fun to watch, is bad for his career. His combinations are slow and predictable. A good counter-puncher will pick him apart. He will be outboxed by pretty much any top MW. Cotto, Williams, Martinez, Angulo, Cintron... all can take this kid easy.

He can improve, but it will still be a while before he is prepared to take on the best at 154-160.
