Who's gonna take it? Both fighters are hard to hit. Both are smart. Both are counter punchers. It's not gonna be entertaining for the casual fan...But, I think it will be fun to watch, especially since im a hopkins fan.

I'll take Hopkins by decision. He's bigger and stronger....You gotta root for the old man. I hope he boxes until he's 45...

And it's going to be rough on the hardcore fan too. If styles make fights- ouch.

Hopefuly since Hopkins is a bit bigger and has beaten much bigger men, he will go after Wright more, but I doubt it.

I say Hopkins takes it by UD. Probably like 115-113 all the way across. I am not going to watch it, because I feel like I have seen this fight before. Thats how I feel about all Winky fights, because they all seem to induce sleep.

I'm rooting for Hopkins but picking Wright.

I watched the preview special on HBO yesterday.

Hopkins' longtime trainer suffered a stroke a while back. Hopkins has been training with Freddie Roach for the past six weeks.

On the other hand, Wright walks around at 190 lbs and has had to drop 20 lbs to make weight.

I'm picking Wright simply because he is younger and might have more stamina if it gets rough.

I think it will be very entertaining for true boxing fans.

Not to hijack this thread (I apologize) but has anyone gotten tickets for the Olympic Boxing Trials at the George R. Brown next month?

Are you saying 13 punches total per round is going to make the true boxing fans happy.

I've watched both of these guys fight Jermain Taylor -- it's really my only experience seeing any of their fights. A lot of people would argue that these two are 3-0 against the guy that's still the middleweight champion. I am actually leaving for Vegas in a few hours and am gonna bet on this match while I'm in Vegas. I could really care less about most boxing, but since I'm at least somewhat familiar with these guys, I'm gonna try to see if I can watch the fight in a sportsbook somewhere -- with a bet on Winky Wright. I think he'll take the fight. Hopkins has nothing left to fight for other than money. I doubt he's been training as hard as he did when he was still champ.

Does the winner get another shot at Jermain Taylor?

Winky wins it by landing more and doing more damage. i think it was a bad idea for bhop to fight winky in his first fight after "retirement"

No...Jermaine is moving up to super middleweight, but he's not moving up to light heavyweight. Winky says he doesnt need to fight taylor again....we all saw what happened the first time in taylor's hometown

I'm so torn on this one. I usually get all the PPV's, but I'm afraid this one is going to be boring. I was hoping for a decent undercard to make buying this one an easy decision, but that isn't the case.

I'll probably end up buying it after all. I predict Hopkins will win a close decision.

Thats about the closest to a fight we will see. Cause in the ring it is going be a lot of jabs and being very cautious.

Gotta love the weigh in brawls, they seem to happen every fight now.....ok, it's not a brawl, more like a shoving match.
