I have been waiting a long time for this one. This Saturday on HBO PPV. I am thinking about ordering it at the house, but it is tempting to just save the $65 and download the torrent 10 minutes later. Does anyone know of any sports bars around town that will be playing it?

Here is a good running blog leading up to the fight:

I am rooting for Hatton all the way in this one. Floyd is great, but his style can be straight up boring at times. It's about time that someone shuts him up, and I think Ricky has a good shot at doing it.

This is going to be a good one, and only because Hatton doesn't fight like a puss. He brings the fight to you, unlike DLH did. The only way I see Floyd winning is if he runs around like he always does for about 8 rounds, use his jabs and dodging punches. Then by that time I am guessing Hatton will be tired and he can start to unload a few more punches and score points.
Floyd knows he can't stand toe to toe with this guy, Hatton will rip him up badly if he does.

I don't know of any Sports Bars really, I know there is one on Kuykendahl and Ella that sometimes shows the fights but it gets packed. I am not going to pay 49.99 for it but hopefully one of my uncles buys it. Otherwise, its torrent time.

I'm not a boxing "fan" by any stretch, but damn...I've seen parts of a couple of the 24/7 episodes and it's gotten me hyped up a lot for this fight. I'm rooting for Hatton, pretty much because he's so crazy and unrelenting. There aren't many things worse than a boxing match with no punches thrown, and with Hatton that won't be a problem.

Now I just have to figure out where to watch it.

Final episode of 24/7 is tonight. It is interesting to see the very different cultures that these guys come from. Hatton fights like a bulldog. He might take it.

I really liked that part on one of the episodes where Ricky is talkin mess about the way that Floyd practices on his punch pads. You know how he does it all fast, and Ricky is clowning him, saying no one is going to stand in front of you and let you hit them like that. He mimics the movements and its hilarious.

When I drove by All Stars "Gentlemans Club" today I saw they had a sign out front that said they were showing this fight. My girl didn't seem too eager to go watch it there for some reason.

Just found out from a friend that Big John's Sports Bar will be showing the fight. The place is in a strip mall on Wilcrest just south of Harwin. $15 cover, $25 cover for couples. Prelims start at 8PM. Get there early!

i hope that hatton wins, but if i was a betting man i'd have to go with floyd. i really hope hatton whoops his ass, but i don't think he's gonna win.

2 bills on Mayweather pays 100

Buck on Hatton pays a buck 70

    Your mileage may vary

Hatton has no chance if floyd fights floyd's fight. He is just to skilled. If floyd is being foolish and tries to actually fight hatton might have a chance, but floyd is too smart to do that. Floyd will dance for 8 rounds and run for the last 4 and he will win. I would really like to see a floyd pacman fight or maybe cotto.
