ok guys, I rarely if ever ask for some help...but I have been looking for someone to fill out the 5th spot on a team in a BIG league in Pasadena and am having trouble getting someone we can trust to showup all the time. How good you are is of little importance, we alreay have 3 200+ average bowlers on the team...and the handicap is outrageous(90% of 235), so no matter how good you are, you will get some handicap. the league is huge....32 teams...fills the entire house(Armadilla in Pasadena) and with the prize fund at around $25,000....there is a damn good chance of us making a nice payday at the end since we have one of the top 5 strongest teams in the league even with only 4 people on it. Keep in mind, you dont have to live in Pasadena to be in it(actually 3 of us are from Baytown and one from Channelview)....you just need to have time on Friday from 7-10 and want to have some fun....we place great value on fun-loving people since we all bowl better when we are getting a little nutty... so......anyone up for it? if you arent sure this is for you....ask away...Ill gladly answer any concerns you might have...but we need another teammate...and quick! thanks for reading guys....
wish i could get into a league, I go every week. Hell last friday I had 7 strikes in a row on one game. Throwing rocks tonight baby.
heh....getting into a league is no problem...you just show up and tell em to put you on a team. that said....I think you may be too weird even for us... just funnin ya moe, you're alright. btw...I forget...are you even in Houston?
No sadly I am far removed from the great city of Houston. Perhaps someday when I venture here I shall look for a dude bowling in an afghan.
Man, I wish. I took bowling twice in college, but my average is probably only 140 or so. I'd do worse knowing I was the worst.
I'd actually think about doing this if it weren't on a Friday. Of course, I typically shoot around 100-120, so I'm not very good. What I lack in talent, I make up for in humor.
RM....it doesnt matter...and you wouldnt be the worst. My wife is averaging under 140...and she does fine. the whole deal is that as long as you can consistently bowl your average, the handicap you recieve helps equalize the game. besides...with 3 other guys who have ben bowling for years and are willing to help out a new guy....you would get better. FFB...hey...you would have plenty of timje to go out after it was over....and with a good headstart on your buzz..
R2K: 2 problems on Friday. 1) We always do happy hour after work. 2) It's in Pasafrickindena. If you found one on a Wed., I'd be up for it. Just being honest.
