    HOUSTON ROCKETS
Honestly, they’re gonna be right at the top of the list. When you look at the League, how many real superstars are there. Maybe 10? And the Rockets have two of them on the same team. Yao would have been an MVP candidate had he stayed healthy. He can do everything from the low block, plus he hits his free throws so you can give it to him in the clutch. T-Mac can do everything. He’s gonna be hungry this year; imagine how he felt after saying, “If we don’t get past the first round it’s because of me,” think of how hard he’s worked since then. I saw something about Yao working out with Dream, and that was like right after they lost to us. They have new blood and they have a new coach, and players always respond to a new system because they’re anxious to prove themselves. They got Steve Francis and Mike James, but I’m not a big fan of trading Juwan Howard. I think that hurts them. Juwan brought defense and leadership every night.
    ________________________________________________

He sounds like Clyde with his assessment of Juwon Howard- "he brings leadership each and every night", haha...go ROCKETS!!!!

This has to be the first time that I've heard hat losing Juwan hurt our team. I think boozer just wishes that JH was gaurding him again in the playoffs.

well, in this case he is right

most of the people here that didnt like him or want him here would even admit that he is known as a leader

if you ever saw the pregame huddles, it was always Juwan leading the chant and giving the peptalk in the huddle.

alot of people didnt like his skill level or his age, but most at least respected the leadership.

Juwan was our leader last year. Always stood up for players and was ready to throw down against Okur. The defense, not so much.

Translation: He sure as hell defended me better than Yao.

yeah, I hated on him for the way he screwed the Cavs over a few years back but gained mad respect for him this past season. I heard on him Rome today and he sounds like a genuinely good dude, also doing alot to raise $/awareness for sickle cell patients (his daughter was born with it).

Although lots of fans here are down/dissing T-Mac, it's good to see his peers (who have to go up against him) still have respect and can see the greatness he possesses.

I agree on J. Howard's leadership, without him and Deke we wouldn't have won 52 games when Yao went down. He and Deke were solid rebounders and he averaged double digit points I believe in that stretch.

I thought it was, "They shouldn't have tried to improve the PF position. I was able to be a hero because of they're PF deficiency last year."

As much I hate the Booze for killing us, I have respect for him. He's a killer out there.

the jazz's main goal was to stop tracy. they know what tracy can do.

fans on here even blame a guy that put up 29/13 on a game 7. what can u do when that happens? if kobe puts up 29/13, they all say he's the best.

Wow you never stop repeating the same revisionist history.

Their goal was to contain both Yao and McGrady with mostly single coverage so they could man up on the other guys and prevent them from doing anything. They succeeded.

If you bothered to notice he called Yao an MVP candidate.

i didn't say they didn't want to stop yao. but their MAIN goal was to stop tracy. they rotated at least 5 defenders to tracy to keep him guessing (yes w/ mostly single coverage) and even their big man milsap for a few times. they mainly played okur on yao.

remember, after game 5, when tmac exploded for 26 and 16, sloan said to beat the rockets, you HAVE/MUST/NEED to stop tracy's creativity or else he was going to make his teammates better. that's why they were successful before in the series.

they keep tmac guessing ever 5-6 mins w/ either fisher/giricek/ak47/harpring/milsap.

that didn't mean their goal was to stop yao; he's our best low post player. but tracy was our offensive engine. he initiated 90% of our offense. u stop him, u stop our offense.

Heh, Dahntay Jones isn't even on the Grizzlies.

Who was it who said last year they couldn't name anyone on the Rockets bench? Josh Howard?

LOL...Carlos Boozer is either clueless or a really witty and sarcastic guy.

Basically, Boozer said positive things about every team....I guess it was smart not to piss off the competition. I agreed with him, up until the part about Juwan's defense..... Looking at the list of Western teams, though, dang...they're pretty darn tough. Even the so called bad teams or lower teams like Memphis, Portland and the Hornets have some major talent and athleticism.

He just know Jazz wouldn't have won the series again if the Rockets had had that roster last year.

Maybe Juwan is Boozer's buddy somehow, so he has to mention that getting rid of him was a bad idea...
