I think they said 6 million a year, and he IS restricted.

The Cavs will have to create room to be able to resign him.

He is restricted but the Cavs can only offer as much as the MLE. The Jazz were offering a lot more so the Cavs will not be able to match. Bad move by the Cavs to not pick up his option.

If they wan't cap room, we could always trade them the TE+scrub for Lebron:D

Well, obviously not Lebron, but Battie might be doable.

Was it reported as a done deal or was the same thing that is already being discussed in various other threads mentioned, namely that they want to make him an offer?

Did Boozer's agent lie to the Cavs just to get a big payday earlier?

It's on ESPN now, as reported by David Aldridge.

    Wow...

Not 100 % convinced yet, though...Aldridge is the same guy that had reported the Damon to Houston trade which never happened...

I was mistaken about the Insider article being related. They reference Chad Ford's Insider article we've already discussed, but David Aldridge is reporting that it's a done deal.

Are you suggesting that a sport's agent (lawyer) lied.

    Because that's a very controversial statement :D

BTW, the Cav's GM should be fired.

    Immediately.

I like how we keep quoting each other's edited statements.

ESPNEWS just announced their deal 6yr/68mil. Cleveland did not pick up his option as they were at Boozer's agent's suggestion. Boozer told Cleveland he would sign for MLE if they did that, so they lose him for no compensation. All's fair in Love and FA, I reckon.
