got mine Tuesday, and thus far the side effects have been mild. some fatigue, a little chills and headache, and some localized pain at the injection site. how's everyone else's experience?
My mom got it after having received J&J. She didn't have any real issues. My neighbors got it after having received Moderna. They had all those symptoms and said it was worse than the original shots. I haven't gotten one yet. Not sure if I will. I work in healthcare (though I am 100% remote) so there's always the possibility that my employer will require it at some point.
i got Moderna, same as the first two. second shot was worse. before the vaccine, I had covid twice, and the reaction to the vaccines was worse that either instance of the actual infection.
Got mine a month or so ago, not bad on the side effects. Tired, little out of it, then fine a dayish later.
Sore arm for a day; some mild body aches for a few days. I had no headache thankfully. I never had a fever with any dose. My IgG antibodies tripled from immediately pre-booster and are 50% higher than after dose 2 last January.
I was very fortunate. I was one of the first nationwide once it was released under EUA in December 2020. My second dose was during DC riot so imagine my shock to coming out after the 15 minute wait to see headlines “Capitol breached!!” I was boosted in late Sept. and my antibodies were tested about a week ago.
I enrolled a study looking at occupational exposure to COVID-19 to answer what the prevalence of asymptomatic infection was if any. Thankfully I never had COVID, symptoms or antibodies despite being around patients with COVID. After the vaccines, the study added a post-vaccine component to see how the vaccine or infection produced antibodies decay and then how they responded to booster.
