Can someone elaborate on what happened?

Is he out for the game or what? And if so, any timeframe for his return?

T-mac got the ball on the right block. Bonzi cut to the basket and T-mac hit him with a pass. Bonzi got undercut and fell straight on his lower back. Reminded me the kind of hit Pippen or Horry took in the past, but Bonzi has a little bit more junk in the trunk so it's going to hurt some more. They don't know what it is yet, but they are speculating spasms, definitely a deep bruise..
He tried to leave on his own power but he was helped by Keith and someone else. Once he got to the tunnel a wheel chair was brought to him

it looked like he landed on the side of his hip, which is bad..

if he had landed square on his back it would have been more area for the shock to absorb, but if you watch closely his hips shift as he slams into the floor.

he might have a lingering hip bruise because of this.

I am almost certain that he can come back in the game.....there is no rule about him being out all game after an injury.

If he can't shoot his freethrows...due to injury...could be blood or stitches etc....the opposing coach gets to pick a player to shoot them.

But, he can come back in later...

no i'm pretty sure that there is a rule that keeps the injured player from returning to the game if he can't shoot his own FT's.

remember when the team was in NY and snyder injured his hand? he was forced to shoot (and airball) both FT's. the reason being, they wanted to keep the option of returning him to the game.

Yo DaDa, officially the rules DO state if you can't take your own FTs you can't come back in the game.

I always wondered how people come back after stitches but I guess they take their FTs.

But that rule is for sure. It's happened many a time.

I hope Bonzi isn't injured bad, hopefully it's just a sore back or something. DAMN those falls hurt.

    Ok, I stand corrected.

But, I would be pretty shocked if Bonzi plays tomorrow night....he landed HARD on his back....

Truthfully I am glad it was Bonzi and not Tmac.

And I wish it was Ken Mauer (tonight's referee that gave Deke the technical in Chicago), not Vspan
