It's good he realizes he sucked last game and needs to pick it up to keep the team afloat until the stars come back.

he was probably tired from the spurs game the other night. isnt this his first back to back(playing heavy minutes)? he's still barely getting into shape.

Sure hope JVG recognizes this and installs a post offense for Bonzi to work from with Battier in the corner, Juwan at the top Rafer on the wing, and either Hayes underneath or Head on the other corner. The primary reason for Bonzi's bad game was the helter skelter play that had Bonzi receiving the ball as he is running, facing the basket, or some other position that is not the primary position that he is effective in, which is that left mid high block post up. Gotta set him in that left high block and let him operate, feel the double teams and find the open cutter or spot up shooter. Pretty simple really.

That's what Bonzi is. He isn't a highly efficient primary scorer. Plenty of TO and low TS% even last season.

Very good garbage guy, but don't expect him to play TMac Lite on a consistent basis.

That's not to say he isn't the best option for the Rockets if both McGrady and Yao are down...

Without Tracy, our offense bogged down when other teams played hard defense. Without Yao, our offense is in very serious trouble. With Yao & Tracy, our offense is dead. We will live and (mostly) die with our defense. If Bonzi becomes our primary option on offense you can stick a fork in this team.

I'm glad he's taking responsibility for that pathetic performance. If our "#1 option" does that again we will be lucky to score 70 points.

This time we'll use our very own Head.

An out of shape Bonzi Wells is our main option. Behind him we have Shane Battier who's never asked on offense to do more than hit the open J and post up every now and then. And behind him, or maybe alongside him, we have our sophomore superstar Luther Head who has proven to be good, but has yet to prove HOW good.

And we are ALL banking on the fact T-Mac can come back strong to keep us afloat until Yao Ming returns.

Don't forget we are also banking on the fact that Yao Ming DOES return and does so timely in 6 weeks and uses little time to get back into playing shape.

This is going to be just TOO good.

I know this is unrelated to the thread, but can someone please Youtube or GIF that elbow Bonzi threw to Ginobili? I haven't seen it yet, but I really want to. Please! Thanks.

there was no elbow at all.. bonzi just simply posted ginobli up and had a forearm out.. ginobli flopped like usual and made it seem like bonzi threw an elbow. it was nothing...

Bonzi is garbage. He should have said, "This was the worst game of my career so far". He has many more terrible games (as a Rocket and otherwise) in his future. Trust me on that.
