Yes, $3.99 is a good price for NY strip. Recipe: Season, apply heat.

That's a really good price! It won't be as tender as the Ribeye, because of the fat content, but it still a very good cut of meat.

Decent deal. I picked up a couple yesterday. I try to stay away from ribeyes, due to their much higher fat content. Occasionally you'll find strips for 2.99/lb, but 3.99 is good too.

What are they? prime, choice, select, standard?

The type of steak is a good starting point to see if the meat will be any good, but the grade is what you need to look for to see if it's a really good cut of meat..

That was such a good price, I went and bought 6 of them yesterday from Tom Thumb (Randall's sister store up here in Dallas). I'd stock up. :)

I thought they were on sale a couple of weeks ago for $5.99 here in Dallas, as I bought some....They were the Angus NY strip and they were alright, but I'm a rib-eye guy...If they're $3.99, I'll be going tonight...I think everything's overpriced here in the big D

Beef has been high for a while, maybe it will dip back down with the Canadian Mad Cow scare on the wayne--anyone know what the price spike was from?

They had ribeye on sale during the 4th of July holidays for around $5.99/lb I think. Ribeye is my favorite, too.

I just bought 5 pkgs of London Broils at $1.99 lb

I usually by steaks, but try to avoid the bone-in steaks, sure the bone adds flavor to the meat, but you are paying for the bone, so you get less meat.
