With apologies to the two resident Denver fans... The Denver Nuggets WILL set the record for fewest wins in an NBA season this year! 8-74, baby!
I'm not going to argue with you about it. They actually have a shot at the record. Who is going to be there star player, Posey or Howard? They both aren't very good. Posey's shooting percentage stinks and Howard isn't that good anymore. There whole team is terrible. Atleast they'll get a shot at getting Lebron James if they get the number 1 pick next year.
I don't know A-Train, they can win 10 games...I think....Hell I don't know. That lineup does look pretty bad The Reason, so it could definetly do it.
They won't be too good this year but you have to remember they've got Tsikishvilli, Marcus Camby, James Posey, and Juwon Howard. They will be good eventually in a few years. I say if Marcus Camby can stay healthy they win 20 games but if he's injured they win 12.
Even if they don't set the record for losses, they should trail the league this year (though I was wrong last year when I predicted them for last place) and have a solid shot at Lebron James. I think that was the plan all along when they picked up Tsika and Hilario. In 5 years, if Kiki really is competent, they should be pretty ferocious.
I don't even think that they need to tank it this year. I think that no matter what they will have the worst record in the league next season.
the funny thing is, that the worst team will not get the 1st pick. Thanks to the lotto. Just ask the bulls, and GS
I wouldn't say anything like this. Last year a lot of people said the bulls would win no more than 8, and they won how many...20 something? With the talent level these days, no team will fail to win 10 games.
Another Bold perdiction... With Moochie handling the roc 80% of the time, the Rockets will lead the league in 24 second violations..
I agree ... I am not even sure its possible to tank with that rooster ... anyway I like the their management decisions ... now they at least have some intriguing prospects, more cap space next sumer then any team ever had had before and hope for the future.
There stacked at the Forward position. ALL they need is someone to backup Mark Jackson and they can make a god run at beating the Grizzlies in the race for the worst in the Midwest.
That seems like a pretty good estimate. The Rockets always seem to stoop to the level of worse teams and then beat the good teams. I think if we could have won a few more games against the weaker teams in '99, we could have won the championship. The only reason we lost is because we played the Lakers whom we matched up poorly against. We were capeable of beating every other team that year.
I actually don't think they're that bad. Ok, so they have utterly no shot at the playoffs, and are guaranteed to be one of the 5 worst teams in the NBA. But 8-74? Nah. Howard isn't terrible, just overpaid and slightly-above-average. Marcus Camby is a slightly-above-average PF/C when healthy who can block shots. One of the rookies could pull a Gasol. I mean, don't get me wrong... they'll be putrid. But not 8-74 putrid. Fearless forcaste: 16-64.
I think Denver will have around 22 wins at the end of the season. Camby is a decent PF/C,but will have some problems with the C in the West, but should still get 12 pts,8 rebs and 2 bpg when he's healthy. Tshikitsvili could be another Gasol, and Hilario will also get some good rebound stats. Posey is a decent SG/SF.In my opinion,Denver has a deep Frontcourt with Posey,Tsika,Hilario,Howard,Camby, but is undermanned in the backcourt. With that old gay Marc Jax as starting pg.No!Denver will have around 18-22 wins this season.
