Reported on 610 on my way home. Man whats up with JVG! We lose a scorer in JJ for tonight and have Boki who is shooting nearly 50 percent from 3 point range. So what does he do? Put's Boki on the IL and activates Ryan Bowen to start tonights game Howard and Bowen combine for like barely 8 points a game. Great way to make up for the 15 points a game that JJ would bring. Typical bring in a defensive player and lose offense. Wonder if Boki is in the dog house again and how long he will be on the IL. We know it's at least the minimum 5 games though. Even freaking Reece Gaines remains active and takes Boki's Minutes and he goes on the IL. What kind of thinking is this seriously? This is so frustrating to see. When the guy finally shows signs of hitting the open jumper you put him down again.
Exactly. JVG complains that he is not motivating his players and he wants to see more effort and yet, Boki gives full effort everytime he hits the floor. Makes NO sense...

Nahcbar played well as a starter when TMac was hurt, and I think just think that Van Gundy completely destroys any confidence our players may have. I know that we don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but Nachbar gives 100% just like Bowen. The only reason I can see him activating Bowen is b/c is foul prone at times.
Someone needs to call JVG during his show next week and ask him if this is a make believe injury. By the way, does anyone know when his next show is?
The fact that Howard and Gaines are playing, despite their inability to really add anything to the team (although Gaines steal tonight was nice), leads me to believe that the team is showcasing them in hopes of a trade. But the only thing that scares me more than having these two in the game is what kind of garbage we might get back for them.
Looking at Gaines' offensive display the last two games, it makes you wonder why the heck Nachbar isn't getting in there! If JVG is experimenting with lineup ups then fine. I am all for trying to find something that works. But how about throwing Nachbar in the mix to see how he can respond during this time. JJ is out with the flu and there is a GOLDEN opportunity to have Nachbar start and play a player he probably can guard easily in Korver and we see Bowen in there. Nachbar isnt going to be part of any long range plans for the Rockets if he isnt going to get time now.

They are not good, they are incredibly average..but he did ok. I would have rather seen Boki get some time. DD
Hey u gotta respect our coach "system". He has to demoralise u first and then pick u up and give u a chance. Howard got grand total of SIX MINUTES in 3 games before he becomes a starter. Ryan Bowen is so useless to be put on the injured list before he started the game today. U like Deke's defense and rebounds at the start of the season? He played grand total of 16 mins last three games. Dont be suprised Barrett and Sura back to the injured list once Ward and Lue are activated. When things go wrong, Boki of course will be our starter again.
