I figured since there is a boki fan club, I figured I would do my own boki sucks fan club.

Please someone tell me what is so special about this kid? I am obviously just not seeing the things you boki lovers are. Someone please explain.

Im sure it will get locked before anyone of you post.

I was being sarcastic about the fan clubs. I just always see kids posting on here about how much they love boki, and how they need to give him all these minutes. But he's never showed me anything for him to deserve a role on the team. He had his moments in the playoffs, but not enough. I really hope the rockets dont re-sign him. We need some room for better players. Hopefully when Sura is back, we will all forget about Boki.

Come on. Another Boki thread. What could possibly be said that hasn't been said a million times in other threads. Fact is, Boki isn't going to get his option picked up. And he has one year to work his way off the bench, and contribute. Case closed.

Whats wrong with Boki is that he is a first option type player playing in a secondary role. When one day the offense is ran through Bostjan Nachbar, i am confident he will shine. Lets hope Van Gundy gets with the program.

Boki is becoming a legendary prospect in the Dan Langhi, -Badiane mode.

It seems we as Rocket's fans need someone to play that role every year. Maybe Reece Gaines can substitute for Boki if he deports or >>>>>>>>drumroll<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<maybe Badiane himself will play the roll next year.

After all more unlikely things have happened. Most championship teams are partly built by such blind luck as some low level draft pick or cast aside scrub suddenly blossoming beyond rational expectation. Why can't it happen to the Rockets?

As of right now, Reece Gaines is a poor man's Boki. Hopefully in a few years, he can develope and fullfill his potential- a Nachbaresque player.

I will support him as long as he is a Rocket...but the guy hs to really step it up. he can't be acting like this forever or he is going to find himself back in Europe real quick...or maybe the Lakers =)

Boki is a victim of liberal affirmative action policies.

    I agree.

His playoff game against Malone all but confirmed this. The sooner Gundy realizes this, the sooner we step up into contention. Boki is everything Langhi wishes he could be.

I like how people keep saying....."Given the right oppurtunity...." Who wouldn't pick it up if given the perfect oppurtunity? Every time we give this kid an oppurtunity....he blows rod. Other than the Karla hit.....there's nothing to be said about this kid. Nothing.

Down with Wackbar. The hype has died. The loving should too.

I guess I understand the vitriol given Boki's inability to drop a long range shot in the preseason, but need I remind you that this is still the preseason? The preseason is all about getting guys ready for the season, which is exactly what JVG has been doing.

As far as Boki goes, that hit on Malone in the playoffs (along with the three pointers, the blocks, the charges taken, and the drives to the rack, all in the playoffs) have bought Boki about a half a season AFAIC. He has looked good defensively, blocking shots and stealing the rock, even though his shot hasn't been dropping.

I agree that Boki is on the cusp of the league at this point, but I still think he will develop into a better than acceptable backup SF. He looks good while playing with TMac and Yao and will look even better once he settles down and his shot starts dropping in games as it (by all accounts) already does in practice.

Y'all can hate on Boki all you want, but he plays hard nosed defense, goes to the rack with the best of them, and is committed to the team above himself. Those qualities are needed on our team and I believe that Boki will contribute this year.
