first boki, i was at the game,so i couldnt see any replay, but he refused to let tmac help him up,so tmac got a little annoyed with him, this get on tv,or any explanation? now on to the other two, boki played well last night and for the most part is playin well and i wondered where that was during his time here, anyone fear novak and/or billy will get moved and play great somewhere else?
boki never got a fair chance here....he would have been a perfect player with this rotation...a guy who can shoot from outside and still create a little bit on his own..wish we still had him..... that thing with TMAC and boki...I was at the game too but I could read Tracys lips....he knoced boki down on that play....he then tried to pick him up and boki told him off so Tracy moved his hand and backed off....when time out was called Tracy stared boki down and told hm F$#@! You.....i think it lit a little fire under tracy .....
seen it, did Boki say anything to Mac? I thought it was kinda rude of Mac to make those little gestures
eh no, maybe I explained myself wrong... when Mac gave him the hand, few seconds later Mac just pulled back like he was upset..
He says he feels like he wasn't used the right way when he was here. JVG wanted him to defend and be a spot-up shooter. Why? Because when you have 2 superstars the dominate teh ball on offense, those are the type of perimter role players that will really help th eteam. Like what Battier is currently doing for us. New Jersey's system is different -- they have a more perimeter-oriented and less structured offensive system it seems to me. Just a better match for Boki's skills. Plus, Boki is just a better player now than he was 2-3 years ago. Young players from Europe usually take a few years to become good players.
Because Boki gave Tracy some lip when he tried to help him up. I don't blame T-Mac for getting mad at all. He was even apologetic after the foul.
i love boki, especially for what he did to malone in the playoffs that year, but lets not go crazy about losing him, 8.5 pts 3 reb 1 assist isnt exactly an all-star that we lost out on
Boki played with the proverbial chip last night and was lights out. Good for him. If he can sustain that over an extendded period then great for him. Boki is maturing as an NBA player. I suspect Billy will, too. I am hopeful Novak at least replicates Bull and not Langhi.
Boki should still be here in Houston doing exactly what he is doing for New Jersey. He spots up, and slashes to the basket....things the Rockets desperatly need. But, due to a disagreement with our coach, little man tate, Boki got tossed aside for no reason. And now, just when he has found his niche, it is with someone else. Again, it should have been in Houston. DD
in how many minutes? he is not playing 35-40 min a game... lol at the boki nachbar google search http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=84964
plays like 19-20, but do you think he could play 40 min and be solid enough to warrant that playing time?
Boki said what you said last night in the interview. Boki said that JVG never knows how to use the player. It is really sad to see snider and span in the doghouse and bonzi was not used correctly。。。。
Boki got hit accidentally by T-Mac in the mouth and didn't want T-Mac's help to pick him up, it happens oh well. As for VSpan and Novak I hope JVG saw what Boki did last night and might change his mind on his current young players and let them play you never know what can happen.
I agree. Too bad he sucked while he was here, couldn't hit an open jumper, couldn't drive without missing layups or turning the ball over, etc.
I think Boki is going to get even better than he is now. I think he will have a very decent NBA career playing an Eddie Johnson type role where he comes off the bench for offense, shooting and slashing. One thing I did notice about Boki, is his body hasn't changed one bit from when he played here. He doesn't look like he's ever lifted a barbell. His arms and shoulders are underdeveloped still. For an offensive player, in particular a shooter, to sustain performance for 82 games, they need to develop their shoulders and arms. Still, I'd take him on our team. I'd trade Novak for him in a heartbeat. He was the best post entry passer we had when he was here. He was the only player we had that consistently got the ball to Yao and had chemistry with Yao. You can tell they still like each other. I don't worry too much about Novak being traded and playing great somewhere else. Just don't see him being anything other than a designated gun, Bullard. On the other hand, I would be terribly disappointed if we moved VSpan. I think if he were playing on a scrub team, they would have given him plenty of minutes to establish himself, and he would have become a factor already. And I think if we move him, he will develop into something special and we will regret it. Did you see him on his bucket last night? He just took the defender out high, teased him with the dribble, got the defender to commit to his right, and then he went left, kept the defender riding his back, all the way to the hole for the finish and 1. Right now, he has a turnover problem and he's not a good 3 point shooter. I think if he simply improves his turnover problem that he will be killer. I don't think he has to develop his shot any more. He's good from 18 feet on in. And he will get plenty of 13-18 foot open shots after he forces the defense to adjust to his drive. His game is using the dribble drive to get high percentage layups and draw fouls, then force the defense to adjust to the drive, then pull up for the short jumper and dish off the drives. Van Gundy hasn't put him in that position yet. But I think it will work out. Right now, McGrady is operating as such a great playmaker. He's either scoring or dishing, and what works best when McGrady is doing all that is for guys to be canning shots, and getting to the open spots on the floor for the shots. That's why Luther and Chuck do so well with McGrady. Chuckie is unbelievable at finding the open space created by the defensive attention on McGrady and Yao. He's just got a great nack for knowing where to go to get off a high percentage layup. And Luther just stands weakside and cans the shot off the pass. But, as McGrady ages, I think having a playmaker and finisher at the point will become much more important. I can see the day in the future when VSpan initiates and creates off the pick and roll and McGrady is used more for postups and shooting as McGrady gets older and attacks the basket less. I wish it were now that we could use VSpan more in the lead role backing up McGrady when McGrady is off the floor, but alas, it is not meant to be. I just hope him and Van Gundy don't have any further falling out. Van Gundy got upset at him last night when he made that foul on the perimeter but I don't understand why. The kid knows it is garbage time and he is just trying to make a play. You can't blame him for taking that kind of risk at that point in the game. It sure beats guys just going through the motions out there. By the way, Lucas was terrible again last night. He ran off and left Novak to guard his man, and all he was doing was looking for his shot offensively. It is a total waste of time to have VSpan in the game at the 2 guard with Lucas at the point. VSpan is useless in that scenario. He is not a spot up shooter.
