They still have TWO superstars. That should be enough to beat a crappy team like the Bobcats... they must be soft and have no leadership...
The Bobcats had been playing 5 games in 7 days and tonight's game was their 2nd game of a back-to-back. On the other hand, the Celtics had 3 days off and were playing at home. These two factors combined were supposed to be more than enough advantage for Boston to overcome the absence of Ray Allen, who is the least important player of the "Big Three."
the rockets beat the 69-13 bulls the following year. and the bulls only lost once to toronto (did lose 2x to indiana). still can't believe they didn't at least tie the '86 celtics 40-1 home record after starting 37-0. they went into their final home game 39-1 and lost to indy by 1 point. in fact, looking at their game log, both of their home losses were by 1 point. i hated them, but what a machine that team was.
Right... so the Celtics are on pace to break the NBA single season win record the same year the Patriots went 16-0. What is going on with this world?
Not that surprising. Elite teams will occassionally lose focus and not come to play. It's even more likely to happen against an opponent they don't respect.
Boston's achilles heel will be its interior defense--they don't have any. I'd like to see what happens when a team with more than one slasher plays them (Spurs).
Seems like that they have trouble playing Bobcats. Last time, they won because of the lucky play at the end and this time, they lose by 12.
I can't wait until Boston goes on a losing streak so we don't have to hear about this 70 win season crap.
