Boban has averaged 21 points and 14 rebounds per 36 minutes. He has a 66% TS% and his PER is 27.7 as a rookie.

What do we have to lose? We are not getting any other elite players. Let Boban entertain us.

This. Can he get down the court in 7 seconds for DAs offense?

Boban Marjanovic had the third highest Player Efficiency Rating this past season:

    1. Curry
    2. Durant
    3. Marjanovic
    4. Westbrook

League rules say that Marjanovic can't receive more that 5 Million next year and San Antonio can match any offer, but you can backload a deal like Houston did to get Lin from NY. I'd backload a deal for 20 Million a year for 3 or 4 years.

It's a high risk, but what if he is the third best player in the league? Do you let SA get to keep him another year for 2 Million?

Back loading won't work with the cap going up.

What does the cap going up have to do with back loading?

front-loading would eat their cap and hurt their ability to go after KD or pau

His point is you can't backload it to increase faster than the expected caps will increase. The poison pill isn't as scary to teams if the cap is projected to keep growing.

And I'm not one to agree w' DD very often, but I think he's right on this one.

i think our front court is done:

    dmo-capela-onuaku
    ryno-beasley-harrell

if we get gordon, i think we are set on the wing, barring a trade:

    harden-ariza-dekker
    gordon-brew-KJ

our remaining money won't go to a C like boban if the only free roster spot is at PG:

DD didn't have a point, and this is not a point either. Backloading is a way to make a team pay for the value that they are getting. You don't let teams off cheap. Without backloading the most that any team can offer Boban is 5 million. I contend that he is worth a lot more than that. The rest of the league is collectively stupid if it lets San Antonio keep Boban on the cheap. Backload and take a risk or at least make San Antonio pay.
