Bob Sura should make a Barkley-like comeback.

As the season winds down, even though there has been no Bob Sura news, Sura's career will soon end. We all now that Bob Sura is a competitor and fighter who hates to lose. It would please Rocket fans more than almost anything for Bobby to suit up for a game again.

I remember the then 37-year old Charles Barkley, who was my favorite player, who came back on April 19, 2000 to play after suffering a career-ending injury to score a couple of points/rebound/block despite his knee being just 70% healed.

It would be good if Sura could similiarly make a comeback to play in the season finale. He does not have to play 20 minutes or even a quarter. It is just an idea for him to end his career on a positive note.

id cheer for him. him being on the court for 5 seconds would probably bring more excitement than the rest of the team does for 48 minutes.

It's a great idea. And it's just the kind upbeat, inspirational gesture that Van Gundy loves.

    Oh. Wait. (Too bad.......)

It really is a great idea, though, and I'd love to see it.

I would cry like a little girl if Sura suited up and got a couple of minutes. That would be awesome.

    :p

I don't know about crying, but I'd probably get choked up a bit. I miss Sura and everything he brought to the court. It would be very cool to see him suit up one last time.

instead of the last game [because it is an away game] id rather it be the last home game.. so he can get the fan appreciation. That would be fantastic.. but i havea feeling that it might not work out.

I've never seen more love for a journeyman player that only played a half season for a team.

Sometimes people here talk about Bob Sura as if he was what we are missing. He was at best a B grade guard. Let us not forget we had him for one season- and to proclaim him as a savior, is just beyond comprehension.
Nostalgia is great- but this is more hype than facts

You have to understand, it's Sura that we miss, and it's just that simple.

Along with him throwing up close to a triple double every game, along with him playing through bad knees, bad back, two dislocated fingers and a bruised eye. What I miss most was his swagger and tuffness, who could forget when Howard from the Mavs undercut Yao in the playoffs and Sura came back with revenge by throwing Howard down and laying the 'law' down, saying basically "No dude, thats not how its going to be"

I miss Sura sooo much. B Grade point guard??? Maybe for his career but his numbers for us were surreal and he played total kickass in JVG's system.

He was so tuff, our team is missing that so much~ just that tuffness he had and his swagger. He was inspiring.

Tribute to Sura (go to the 2:22 mark)

Thats probably why he is known for getting all those hot women, playing with 100% confidence on the court and obvisoley off the court too with those re-known hot girls.

I would piss my self if Rafer got injured and we activated Bob Sura and he scored 13 points and got a few assists. God would that really make my day, I would dream for nights about winning a championship.
