    ..according to Gene and Jim.

He's been working out and they're saying he's in great shape.

Sometime after the new year, they expect him back.

Great to hear, but then again being "in terrific shape" doesn't mean he could even make it 5 minutes in an NBA game. I doubt his conditioning is even in the same stratosphere as what it needs to be. I sure hope his rehab goes well.

He is the player we're missing.

We currently have guys that give all hustle, but have no skills (Bowen)

We have guys who have some skills, but no hustle (DA).

Sura is the guy who gives all hustle... has skills... is our best pound-for-pound rebounder... and is our biggest intimidator (amazingly enough).

Who said he wasn't important?... HA!

Actually, they said he was in game shape. But that could be just Gene and Jim talking. They said he's been shooting and working out and looking like he's ready to go, and they're just as stoked as we are.

How could Sura be in game shape when his knee is just getting strong enough to really run hard on it?

    Gene and Jim are lying...

Sure they didn't mean his knee is in great shape?

They said he's in game shape. He was out shooting and working out after the Boston game and it's looking like he will be ready to go sometime after the 1st. They are very suprised too.

Could someone please explain to me how he is supposed to be in GAME shape already. He isn't even starting rehab for another 2 weeks. You have to go all out to be in NBA game shape, so if he can go all out, why rehab? To say he's almost ready to play is pretty much illogical.

I doubt the return of Sura will have as big a impact as many of you predict (or hope for).

The same thing happened last year and he was huge. The bottom line is we don't have a point guard right now.

It will be big not only with his play, but he also will improve chemistry, and we saw last year how important that is. Add to that he brings much needed emotion, and can hit down the open 3 on a fairly regular basis and that improves this team tremendously.

Get Sura back, get Barry back, trade Swift, Wesley, and a conditional pick for a PF (Al Harrington?). Cut all of Derek Anderson's minutes (I would say trade him but nobody will want him). That is a much better team than the crap we are watching right now. Oh, and anything Rafer Alston gives us will help that much more...I still think this guy can be big for this team.

Great news. You just can't count out Sura, and he will help us. But we're still in trouble...

The most important thing Sura did is not force to pass to yao.

We need our guards to pass yao in nature way not in force way. Then we can play like a team.

Now JVG finally figured it out.

I doubt the return of Sura will have as little to no impact like some of you predict (or hope for).

Can't wait to have Sura back. GO ROCKETS!

    1. No one's saying you lied and that's not what they said.

    2. It's IMPOSSIBLE for him to be in "game shape" right now. He doesn't come back for another 3+ weeks.

    3. Still, great news! :)
