Maybe I am a kook.....but I was a BMX racer and flatland rider back in the day (80's) so this site just sparks up nostalgia with me. If you are/were into BMX, this is a site you want to check out if you haven't already. I was a big Diamond Back and Skyway rider...but I had some Redlines and GT's too. You can go and search for your bike too, and pics will come up if there's one posted. Cool stuff..... http://www.bmxmuseum.com/ You can buy completely restored bikes there too.
bmxmuseum is great for lookin', but if you want to talk oldschool bmx, there's only one where members like Scot Briethaupt, Jeff Utterback, Dennis Dain, Greg Hill, Timmy Judge, Darryl Young, Harry Leary, Perry Kramer, Jim Melton, Stu Thompsen and others post on a regular basis: www.vintagebmx.com if you really want to know bmx history, that's the only source you'll ever need. want an example? well, check this thread: http://www.vintagebmx.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=027471 back in the day i rode: Race Inc, Mongoose, Diamond Back. today's old school rides consist solely of: Champion Racing Products. enjoy.
http://www.vintagebmx.com yeah..thats THE place. In the Freestyle forum, Woody Itson, Eddie Fiola, Scotty Freeman, Maurice Meyer, Large Ray, Brian Blyther and a whole bunch of other Old-school Pro's often posts. Itson seems like a great guy..and he's there a lot. They also have a museum where you can look at member's bikes, and everyone posts pics of there restores. I had an Predator (got stolen), Skyway (broke it) and a GT. Still have the GT & recently bought an old Predator off of ebay. I'm restoring both.
