So I am sitting here reading depressing threads about how 2008 started with heartbreak, etc. and the song "Blue on Black" comes on my iPod....which I rather enjoy.

For grins, what are some of your favorite "current" blues bands/hits? By current, I mean like 1990 and newer.

I've always loved SRV, Clapton, BB King, Johnny Lang, and some others here and there such as Mayer, Kenny Wayne Shephard, etc. A local gal named Robin Banks (yes, that's her real name) is pretty good.

    I dunno.....I heard this somewhere once......"blues is a healer".....post your favorites here.

    All my love,
    HOOP-T

not necessarily blues, but since you mentioned it the all time best break-up album is dylan's blood on the tracks, which he wrote while getting a divorce - there are two versions - he initially recorded the album acoustic, but rerecorded w/ a full band and that is the one that got released, but the acoustic version is much better imo.
