Blue flashing lights on utility and construction vehicles...

    Man, this drives me nuts. People see the blue flashing lights, think it's a cop and slam on their breaks. It's not like yellow flashing lights are less visable.

    I think it all depends on the state. I am not 100% sure but I believe in TX all police cars have a red strobe light in addition to other colors like blue, white and amber. So if you see blue only and no red in TX then its not a cop..I could be wrong though.

    Its different in other states. I read that in Louisiana, utility vehicles cannot have blue lights. I remember driving to New Orleans and the state trooper lights are all blue - no other color.
