Anybody heard of this? I just downloaded one of the songs and its pretty good. I wasnt a fan of the Grey album(Jay-Z, Beatles album) but this one seems nice. Biggie is one of my favorite rappers and Sinatra is one of the greatest.

I can't stand Biggie, so I don't know if I can get past that. Sinatra, of course, is great.

    West Sounds

And if anyone likes making mashes, the Beastie Boys are releasing Acapellas for your entertainment on their site now.

Mash mixes are the musical equivalent of Hollywood making movie versions of television shows.

    No talent necessary.

I disagree. It's just photochopping with different media. You don't like it, don't listen.

    With one difference:

You're selling your "photochopping" for a profit.

I don't, won't, and never will listen to music that has nothing to do with musicians. Thanks for playing.

RMT, for a guy, whose musical apreciation I somewhat respect, you can be very closed minded. I suppose it's the Ar-teest in you. If it's put out there for people to use, I say use it. You can't stop creativity.

    Actually it's pretty creative.

I'd like to see you come up with some good sounding mash mixes

It's my fault. There are a few CDs I've been meaning to burn for him that I think he would enjoy, especially in the right frame of mind. :)

He chooses to write and perform original music.

Anything I've ever found and posted here was not for sale, it was for personal enjoyment. And who says I sell it? I play with sound and light for a living and I like to practice what I do, like I bet you do.

    I completely respect that.

But he has no room to say that it doesn't require any talent.

Successful mixing does take talent and creativity. It's not easy.

Production work does not include just one field.

As long as the original artists (or in this case, their rightful heirs/estate/whatever), get the appropriate cuts, I have no problem with it.
