a lot of stores are having a buy one get one free promotion on Disney blu-rays this week (best buy, target) and what i think happened is that CC wanted to follow suit but was too late to put it out in their AD and also rushed to put the proper promo in their system sooo...

instead of Disney blu-ray on b1g1 free its ALL their blu-rays that are b1g1 free I picked up 8 of them on my lunch break....just a heads up i believe its in-store only not sure if it was meant to be that way or not but its not in their ad so not sure how many people know but get a jump on while it lasts!

i think till the end of the week

basically its any blu-ray dvd or hd-dvd that is priced 29.99 or lower you can do the buy one get one on and its good in-store only.....its not an advertised sale (i am sure they would have sold out and lost big $ big time if it was advertised) so not even all the store people know.

sucks though the two closest circuit cities to me though have poor poor selection of both HD formats.

sucks i had already ordered transformers through amazon and it was already shipped yesterday not sure if i can cancel it now....gonna try to hit up the next closest circuit and pick up some hd wasnt able to get any yesterday though i got 10 bds.

I've been trying to hold off until the movies come with DolbyHD/DTS HD, but this seems like a great deal...A lot of my blu-ray movies came from promos like this...

Btw, I still think it SUX AZZ that Transformers isn't in Blu-Ray...

Judging from Amazon, you can get a Blu-ray player for around $400-$450.

Yes no Transformers for Ps3 sucks...apparently though, Paramount is only HD-DVD exclusive for 18 months so hopefully after that they will release the other movies on Blu-Ray that were previously only on HD-DVD.

Blu-ray players can be had for 400-500 bucks these days. And a lot of them come with 5 or more free movies which helps soften the blow.

I just picked up Ice Age 2 and Blood Diamonds at CC for $29 after taxes..

ICE AGE looks AMAZING on BLU RAY.. OMG!! I'm glad I went today because I noticed alot of the good movies were sold out already.. I was going to check out other CC's and maybe a BestBuy but it got too late.

Anybody know other stores participating in this? I'd definitely like to pick up a couple more.

also has anyone see Blood Diamonds on HD? good or bad? I picked this over Saw III, hope I made the right decision :D

Amazon is still running their Buy One Get One Free promotion for Disney Blu-ray titles. There are a bunch of great ones to be had in that deal. Too bad I already own most of them. :)

As for Blood Diamond, I've had it on HD-DVD for a while now, but I still haven't watched it. From what I've read though, both it and the Blu-ray version have a fairly mediocre transfer.
