didnt see this posted, if so lock it up like bernie madoff... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...acy-mcgrady-return-will-propel-rockets-to-top Healthy, Team-Oriented Tracy McGrady Return Will Propel Houston Rockets to Top by Denton Ramsey Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images With all the Tiger Woods gossip and bashing going on, the sports world has put smaller issues such as the Tracy McGrady situation on the backburner. Thank goodness for that. But the latest news coming out of the Houston Rockets camp is that everyone, including head coach Rick Adelman, general manager Daryl Morey, and T-Mac himself, is on the same page. Although McGrady’s return date is still up in the air, the seven-time All Star is currently a leader in the Western Conference for the annual fan-voted best of the bests showdown in early 2010. Merry Christmas, T-Mac; even without hitting the hardwood yet this season, it’s obvious that fans can’t wait to see you return to the court. Hopefully, McGrady will be pulling back on that Rockets jersey well before mid-February. Here’s the thing; Houston’s Rockets are absolutely on a roll right now and they are doing a damn good job of making quite a bit of noise in the West. The big question is how everything will work out when T-Mac makes his triumphant return, and here’s my take on it: if McGrady comes back healthy and with a team-oriented attitude, the Rockets will be on their way to championship contenders. Regardless of what fans and the media alike have been saying about McGrady’s recent verbal outbreaks (myself included), the guy can play basketball to the level of the Kobe Bryant’s and LeBron James’ of the world. He’s proved that time and time again; and that’s why he’s a seven-time All Star and counting (and it appears as though he’s heading for number eight; at this rate he’ll be starting for NBA’s superior conference alongside some other superior names in the league). I love T-Mac; the city of Houston loves T-Mac; NBA fans can’t wait to see T-Mac bring back his magic to the court; and now that everyone is on the same page in the Lone Star State, it’s time to focus on the future of this incredible Morey-assembled team. If McGrady returns to the Rockets and can slide right into this Adelman-led squad that is continuing to somehow surprise people regardless of their impressive record, Houston will be title bound. The Rockets have a really good team as is; T-Mac’s eventual return, with the right attitude? Watch out Western Conference, there’s a new contender in the house! uhm i dont even know where to begin with this seems like he is just pulling stuff outta his butt just to get an article out that'll get alot of hits
Agreed. This guy is a buffoon and doesn't know a thing about the Rockets. This article should have been scrapped before it got printed because there is not an ounce of truth in it anywhere.
I got nothing but love for you YoYo, but why is it that anytime a positive article is written, people call B.S right away, and when it's something negative like that Adrian W fluff piece, everyone takes it as gospel?
He is right in one respect: without McGrady, we might be the 'feel good' story of the year, but we are not a contender.
i dont always fully believe all the stuff Adrian Woj says in his articles but multiple places have cited the definite friction between McGrady and the Rockets front office/coaching staff while there have been less reports about the two sides getting along. I call bs on this article personally because well I dont know this guy and it seems more like a personal opinion article more so than anything else. There are no quotes/citations from players/coaches/management to back up anything he writes. If it was anyone like Woj/Feigan/David Aldridge/JCF who wrote something like these I would be more inclined to believe it because it has been established that they do have ties with the org and will only write something when they have something to back up their info. I mean this article may as well be written by anyone of the posters here who hope the best for Tmac (some of the posters probably could have written it better too) None of his "information" has any substance to it really.
This guy has no idea what he's talking about. "The city of Houston loves T-Mac". What? It's more like, the city of Houston would love to see T-Mac shipped to the Clippers.
Perhaps; this article is very interesting; this guy misuses semi-colons repeatedly; though I do not wish to bring up such pointless issues. A team-oriented T-Mac is like an humorous accountant. By the very nature of things, it just cannot happen.
as much as i like a positive article on t-mac i would have liked it to have had less opinion and more facts.
(As an outstanding passer, McGrady has not had problems being a team-oriented guy on the court. The Rockets do want him to play with the effort and intensity of the guys now playing, but Adelman is not using psychological ploys to make that point. He made that by directly, by telling McGrady that's what he'll need when he returns. -- Jonathan)
