Wow. A bleacher report article that I completely agree with. I'm shocked.

Don't take this in a mean-spirited way, but bleacher report stuff isn't really thread worthy. Better to just tuck it into the existing thread (free agency/offseason) that it fits into.

Really going out on a limb. Don't re-sign Barwin and Cody and cut Walter. Hire a different OC to effectively neuter the offensive minded Head Coach. Sign Hartline when he's going to command a contract much bigger than the Texans will have cap room.

    Really bold stuff there.

I won't read a bleacher report article on sheer principle. Slideshows? Really?

bleacher report just became the official sports division of CNN, replacing SI... regardless of what you think of them (and i often agree), they're legitimacy can no longer be questioned and you might as well get used to them being around.

I think that says more about CNN than it does about BR.

I was wondering what you were talking about. For a second it does kind of look like his leg it Theismann in that photo.

Their suggestions are spot on. With no cap room these are wise moves. I think Kubiak should be replaced, but that won't happen. But why will he release control to a new offensive coordinator?

CNN has pretty much been the Bleacher Report of cable news networks for the past few years. I guess they just decided to make it official.

Having all our money tied up with Schaub, Foster, and Andre is a problem. Andre was great this year, but he's going to be 32 next year. Foster wasn't anything special last year, the offensive line had something to do with that, but he is not an elite RB in my opinion. And I'm just tired of watching Schaub shuffle around the field. I guess we're stuck with this for a while. Maybe we can get lucky and have miraculous draft.

Definitely agree with the points on Barwin, Cody, and Walter. Hartline is probably a stretch but he would be a great number 2 to compliment Andre.

Foster did not have an elite year like the last two season, but if you don't think he's elite then AP is the only elite RB in the NFL then.

The Texans management reminds me of the Carroll Dawson Rockets. Overpaying for their players before they have shown to be worth the money.

Excellent point, I hadn't even made that connection, but you are on to something. I am sure McNair and maybe Dawson thought to do so was a huge motivator but it didn't turn out that way.
