It's time for Morey to call Blazers to express their interest in Martell Webster and tell them the Rockets' strong interest in signing Darius Mile if Webster is not available. Let's see if we can fleece the Blazers. :D

    Damn the Blazers looks scary.

    Oden/Przybilla
    Aldridge/Frye
    Outlaw/Webster/Batum
    Roy/Bayless
    Fernandez/Blake

Tons of multi-position players so they can go big or small.

Say no to Darius Miles, I saw a pic of him some time ago and he looked like he gained 100lbs.

But with all these young potential guys on the team you have to think the Blazers are looking to move for a veteran presence.

That been said Portland is really scary right now, if you consider that not only are they over loaded with young talent, they still have the 9million expiring contract of Lafrenze, and they can easily make a move for some of the primer players in the league.

If we just play Miles for a minute, Portland has to pay his $11 million I believe

Would not mind snagging Blake or Webster to improve the bench. But wouldn't offer anything too substantial (exclude our starting 5 from consideration, Landry cannot be traded b/c of rules).

So who's the odd man/men out in Portland now? Outlaw? Webster?

Wrong. Miles has to play in 10 games in any of the next two seasons before Portland's cap gets re-hit with the $18M left on his contract. Miles knee injury was deemed career ending and as a result, his remaining salary ($18M) comes off the Blazers books, assuming the aforementioned stipulation doesn't happen.

I guess so. I don't understand why, though. He brings much more to the table than Webster does. Small, manageable contract for one of the most athletic players in the league. He can defend multiple positions, plays smart and has a solid jumper. What's not to like?

Definitely Webster, remember a few days ago Portland rejected our first trade with them fell apart at the last minute because we wanted Outlaw and they would only offer Webster.

Yeah, but Outlaw's name has been mentioned in deals also. I guess you're right in that the Webster mentioning was more recent and perhaps they're intent on keeping Outlaw now? I would hope so for their sake.

Outlaw by default since hes likely to bring more value to the Blazers if he were traded. Webster doesn't have much value and he's deemed a bust in Portland. They're both young but Outlaw has improved his game steadily every year while Webster has yet to make a mark.

Webster is deemed a bust? He's two years younger than Outlaw and has played only 3 years in the NBA vs. 5 for Outlaw. He's only 21 years old! Right now, Outlaw is better buy not by that much.

I disagree. Statistically, Outlaw is better in pretty much every category in less time and more importantly one guy's a slasher, one guy's a spot up shooter.

I would still take either just saying I think Outlaw's ceiling is much higher despite both continuing to improve.

Yes, he is deemed a bust. Deemed doesn't mean he is but thats the majority opinion in P-town. He has the tools height, body, athleticism, some skills and was the 6th overall pick with plenty of opportunities on the Blazers. However, he's made very miniscule improvements in each of his 3 years. If he was picked in the 2nd round, late first or possibly middle first round all would be okay. Unfortunately, this guy was a lottery pick and he hasn't lived up to his potential. That is why he is deemed a bust.

Hmmm... Webster's numbers are very similiar to Outlaw's 2 years ago. Webster is obviously a better 3 pt shooter and Outlaw is a better slasher. I cant say which one is a bust.

Hey, guys here want Gerald Green. There's no way u guys call Webster a bust. Double standard here.
