Have u noticed the Blazers site? http://www.nba.com/blazers/team/ New coach new team new hi-tech site.....now that's rebuilding
Man, there team is stacked! They will still get dominated by the Rockets, however, on their way to the NBA title.
Agreed. To bad they'll be victims of the salary cap in years to come. Since they've got a few players that will command major money in the future by the time they hit their prime in the brutal Western Conference. I don't see how they'll keep Roy, Aldridge, Oden, and a great supporting cast together. They better keep drafting great, as it will get much harder with lower picks the better they get.
They've got this guy called Paul Allen as owner which will mean they keep all the players they want, no matter the cost.
Not only is that not a problem for them so long as Paul Allen owns the team, but they're actually set to be about 23 million dollars UNDER the cap in 2009-10, before they have to start paying all of their young guys the big money. That means they'll be free to shore up whatever hole they still have at that time with a superstar. Chris Paul will be a free agent that off-season too. But yeah, when your owner is worth over 20 billion dollars and looks at the team as his hobby rather than a business, the salary cap isn't all that much of an issue. p.s. I hate their site.
We'll see if Allen will pay huge luxury taxes like Dolan (45 mil every year). If not, a guy like Aldridge is prime to leave for a MAX somewhere else.
As far as looking at the roster, the site is not well designed because you don't know which player you are clicking on. Also, you can't see the whole roster at one time. Nice graphics but pretty useless overall.
Look right under the player you have highlighted before you click it and it says the name. I like the design its sleek.
I found the Miami Heat NBA roster page to be kind of amusing also. The player photos... http://www.nba.com/heat/roster/
