great analysis, that's the same site that analysed the last game IIRC. I learned more stats about Rox team stats than anything I read this year.
good stuff, just wondering as good as this article write about rox, there is no "fronting" mention in the article, guess they want to save it. All in all, I am excited about the playoffs, with so many stories between these two teams, this serise will depend on how two superstar deal with defense. Yao will have tough time dealing with double teams and fronting, Roy will gonna to find the way slove two best defense from Battier and RON. I like RON on Roy though, make him work, make him tired. There will be strong possiblities, once Roy is shot down, they will be panic. I am old fashion guy, being young is good, but experiences in playoffs is whole another story. Soon those young, engerized Blazer players will find out playoffs is different level. Having said that, First game is most important of this serise, go Rocket.
great read. it's really sad how bad we are offensively even with coach Adelman, one of the greatest offensive gurus ever. i can't even fathom how we would do if we had a defensive minded coach. oh wait we saw what that was like. only 4 players scored in a playoff game!
I'm not so sure we will be fronting Yao. Not many other teams have two legit 7' defensive Centers that can attempt to slow him down just by playing straight up. An excerpt from a recent blog about Portland and matching up Yao... Aldridge, Frye, and Outlaw are all on the skinnier side at PF. While they're athletic and lengthy, they don't have the sheer mass of a Brandon Bass. I'm not so sure we have the players who can effectively front Yao anyways. I know Hollins did a good job of it for Dallas two days ago but would anyone believe he could do that in a seven-game series?
That was a surprisingly good writeup. I thought that some of the analysis was a little favorable in terms of the Rockets. The weaknesses he documented of this team are very accurate though.
...Blazers fans are fair, logical and passionate people...I want to hate them so bad but they're making it extremely difficult....help
Blazer fans are a class act (majority of them)... which sucks, because I'm used to hating obnoxious Utah/SA fans. Blazer fans are not crap.
Great article. I agree with other posters Blazer fan's seem like class acts. But what I do not understand is why do they have a link to thedreamshake for more info on the rockets and not to Clutchfans?
As Rockets fans we as a city and as a forum need to go FULL out Red mode. Get your friends and family to wear red and start shoe polishing your cars fellas! if SA can do it We can do it way better!!!!
A "must" read for Coach Adelman and the Rox players. Know yourself as well as your opponent and play your strength against their weak points. Appropriate player rotations, NO iso plays (especially Ron) and coach instant reaction to changing circumstances on the court are essential for winning this series. Go Rox!
Blazer fans only seem classy because they know that a Rocket once ran into the Rose Garden stands and smacked one of them in the mouth. And we now have another Rocket that has shown he'll do the exact same if they get out off line.
Dreamshake and Blazer's Edge always link to each other. I think that they've been doing it for quite some time. It's no slight on clutchfans, they just ALWAYS link to each other.
