Nice read, props again to Dave from Blazer's Edge. He doesn't think Yao can win the series by dominating, I disagree. If the Rockets can get him the ball consistently throughout the game (a big IF admittedly), the Blazers are done. We also need Brooks to produce consistently. He doesn't need to be spectacular, just enough of a threat to keep the Blazers on their toes.

Great game by the Rockets (obviously)! Looking forward to Tuesday.

    This part was pretty funny:

This was like the Blazers showing up for a boxing match, walking in the gym, setting down their bag, and saying, "Hey, where do I change into my BAM!!!"

"What the heck? I just walked in the...BAM!!!"

    "But I'm not even...BAM!!!"

    "Hey ref, are you gonna...BAM!!!"

"Oh, so it's that kind of fight."

    Sour grapes.

Pretending like losing this game wasn't a huge blow to Portland is pretty blatant homerism.

A little homer-ish, as expected, but a well-written piece nonetheless. I liked his point about every game against Houston being lose-able, as I believe Portland fans are going to learn sooner rather than later. Much sooner.

    both teams played hard

maybe 3 if the refs had any say lol just joking I really do not blame the refs, but that game destroyed My confidence so I can not imagine how the blazers feel.

One really weird takeaway from tonight...

… they need to stop serving beer at halftime.

There were a lot of very poorly behaved fans who started out happy, then drank out their unhappiness.

It was an ugly sight after the game tonight..

    Bedge was worse

yeah, at least I had the decency to do that in the privacy of my home!

It was good until I started reading about refs giving Rockets calls and blah, blah, blah.

Come on man, if the results of this game were reversed... you, me and everyone here would be screaming about the refereeing. For what it's worth, this article handled it pretty well considering how much we benefited from the whistle tonight (not saying we didn't earn those calls, but still).

Not really. That's the point. It happens to every team. If someone honestly thinks the Blazers would have been close to winning that game if the refs had just called half of what they did, they're not thinking straight.

There are times when you just get beat. Game 7 against Dallas, we just got beat. Tonight, the Blazers just got beat. Simple.

When you get blown out by 30 at home, it aint the refs. Its the team.

ParaSolid, the Rockets didn't make the playoffs 6 years in a row. Get your facts straight.

whatever man, in a game where BRENT FREAKIN' BARRY dunks on you, it's not the refs. it's your team not bringing their a-game. i expect a stiffer blazer effort in game 2.

So glad the fans on the other side have some decency and honor. At least were not dealing with crazy, immoral, evil Jazz fans.
