They don't talk too much, give credit to the opposing team, they know the opposing team, are knowledgeable and overall serious with the occasional joke (key = occasional), no nonsense about food or names etc. Just very professional and great to listen to.

Mike Barrett is fine. I'd take him over Bill Worrell any day, any time.

Mike Rice should have retired years ago. He embarrasses himself regularly.

Not sure whether they're "best in the league" as I don't watch all teams, but they really impressed me greatly in yesterday's game.

Yep. Now let's end any possible talk of it right here before this derails into another Clyde/Worrell/Bullard are terrible thread again.

In general I enjoy New York's commentators (Breen and Frazier are probably the best in the league), Warriors' (not too bias), Portland's (know their stuffs well), and OKC's (boring but not too bias).

The worst probably goes to either Celtics or Jazz. Clippers deserve an honorable mention too. All those "Bingo" make me feel like I'm in a retirement home.

Well two things make commentators bad.
    Repetitive saying and homerism.
Ive begun to hate Ny's because of the "put it up.... PUTS IT IN!"
    Clipp "BINGOO!!!!"
He probably is so old he is talking about his bingo game from the night before.
Portland with out a doubt is the best followed by golden states.

    I'll take Knicks & Nets.

    Mike Breen + Clyde Frazier

    Ian Eagle + Mike Fratello

    They're both unbiased combo's.

NY are my favorites. Golden State, Minny are pretty good I think. I think the Brooklyn are good too but I can't remember.

I used to like the Clippers a few years back but they started to go wayy overboard with the BINGOO!! and OH ME OH MY!, now it's majorly irritating. Harpring is a prick so the Jazz are pretty bad. Sean Elliot is a prick so the Spurs are pretty bad. The Magic are pretty negative and talk a lot of **** about opposing teams. Celtics and Nuggets are bad and blind homers. What's his face on the Bulls that goes "BEEP BEEP!" irritates me too.

Me too. I rank the Warriors announcers up there with them.

I also like Grant Napear and Jerry Reynolds of the Kings.

Tom Heinsohn is far and away the worst in the NBA I've ever heard. It's like somebody took his Snickers 100% of the time he's on the air.

I hate the Nuggets' broadcast, worst in the business. Even worst than Clippers.

I only like Matt Bullard. Clyde is soooo bad I won't even consider the Rockets' broadcast if he's on. I don't know where Clyde's been, I'm just glad I'm able to watch the Rockets' broadcast for the past few games. Both Bill and Clyde can retire.
