I catch this sometimes late at night. I guess I was too young to remember the show, but I'm glad I get to see it from time to time. Ben Stiller's Bono impersonation is the best ever. He was doing something tonight about U2, the early years where the manager from the Partridge Family is there manager. Anyways, the show a bar mitzvah they play in 1980. They're doing the beat to Bullet the Blue Sky, but Ben (Bono) is just making anouncements pertaining to the bar mitzvah. Then Edge breaks into a solo where he does that song, don't know where it comes from, but you usually hear it on tv or movies when something about Jewish people comes up. Da da, da da da da da da, etc.

Then there was Cape Munster, where Eddie Munster is DeNiro's character from Cape Fear, funny.

It's also cool to see some comedians in their early years, guys like Andy Dick, Bob Odenkirk from Mr. Show, and Jeanine Garofalo.

I loved that show. It had some of the best writing in television ever. I wish I knew what time the show was on. Fox was foolish for cancelling that show.

Man, Jeanne Tripplehorn was in this episode I saw. Forgot what a pretty lady she is. I haven't seen her in anything since Waterworld. Anyways, she was doing these commercials where they have her and the guys pertending to be models and are doing some hip, sexy commercial, but then the product turns out to be a garden hoe, hilarious.

I mentioned Bob Odenkirk and Mr. Show, just curious if anybody else used to watch it or do the have the dvd. Ronnie Dobbs and Jeepers Creepers Superstar are my favorite sketches that come to mind.

Can't remember it offhand, but this team did a great skit of U2 doing a cereal commercial.

It was done to the song "One"

I can't remember it! Damnit. Something like:

    One bowl
    Gotta share it
    with sisters. Brothers.

    One bowl is never enough
You gotta eat what you can you gotta do what you should
    One...

Anyway, it was something like that. Hilarious at the time.

I saw that too. They were flashing words like in the Bono in a bar version of the video, and Bono is God popped up once or twice, very funny. It'd be nice if this show could make it to DVD someday.

    One bowl
    they're magically delicious

I never new that Stiller had a tv show back in the day. That's awesome. What time does it come on?

Did anyone see on SNL when they were doing a skit from Color of Money and Stiller was playing Tom Cruise. Good stuff. Stiller is the man.

The one skit I remember from the Ben Stiller show was the T.J. O'Pootertoot's Restaurant skit. It was a Bennigan's/Friday's type theme restaurant with a dark secret: They prepared their dishes with human flesh.

BTW, I do have the Mr. Show DVD. Best skit comedy show ever. The commentary tracks are pretty darn funny.

Dimsie was a fan too, I think.

I was a slave to that show. Haven't shelled out for the DVD but managed to get the last two and a half seasons on tape.

My faves were the Hitler clones, Druggachussetts, the Satanic Evangelists, the life and times of Gary Flank (Taint)... and perhaps the funniest line in television history, "I'm gonna **** me a fish."

They did a movie version of the Ronnie Dobbs rise to fame sketch called "Run Ronnie Run." I haven't found it in any video stores yet(maybe I'm just not looking hard enough), but you can get it off Kazaa.

    "Y'all are brutalizing me!"

Have you guys seen "The H is O" where Stiller, Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz are at a bar and Stiller decides he can pick up The Eagles' Glen Fry in 3 lines or less?

Will Ferrell played G.F. and it was the perhaps the funniest thing i've ever seen on SNL

I'm a huge fan. I have DVD's and saw Mr. Show live on their recent tour. My wife and I cancelled HBO when HBO comedy stopped showing Mr. Show everynight. I believe Janene Garofolo once said the American Public doesn't deserve a show like Mr. Show.(She wasn't being unamerican or anything, just pointing out that by the popularity of a lot of the network sit-coms, that most of American's aren't able to grasp that level of comedy.)

Ronnie Dobbs rules, and is on the DVD. The commentary is really great too. I also loved the after-school special type paraody about the guy who had 'handicapped parents', and how he 'won' an olympic gold medal. The Cracker Barrel skit is hilarious. So is Coupon the Movie.

That's the one. It's hilarious. I wish they would do the films Cracked mirror, and the sequal Goin' Crackers.
