    What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty ? Yeah, the guy is a complete jackass, but nothing has been proven yet.

    They claim they impeached him for reasons outside of just his criminal charges, and it is up to the Senate to but him on trial.

    He is impeached, not convicted! Sort of like Grand Jury indictment.

    What about it? They aren't putting him in prison, just kicking him out of the governorship.

    Impeachment and trial by Senate is a political exercise and not a criminal one, at least under the US Constitution it is and I'm presuming IL is the same.
