Review of Blade 2 Spolier!!!!!!!!!!!! Excellent special effects non stop combat scenes as well as some new twist and diffrent strains of vampires! Snipes is the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aside from the first one this one has more of a storyline and a very good ending. Comedy,Horror,Drama and action all into 1
I thought the special effects were great, but I actually thought the first one had a better story line & more drama. This one was more about blood & gore, than creating a story line.
Actually you might have it mixed around for those who do not wanna know the story to Blade 2 stop reading: Blade2 plot Blade hunts down whistler who was then his friend blade finds him semi cures him and lets time take its course. Vampires and the head vampire offer blade a truce Blade accepts with certain degree. Vampires then tell Blade that a new virus is taking over their kind Head vampire wants Blade and the Vampires to fish out and destroy this new host. Meanwhile this new strain of vampire is more powerful than the rest. Blade does what is needed and some of his allies turn against him as well as the Vampires. Blade saves head Vamps daughter Head Vampire reveals to blade that the new strain of vampire was designed by him and shows blade several more fetus capable of withstanding silver and soon sunlight. Soon Head vampire reveals to daughter that her brother is this deadly strain's host that started it all. Son comes back to confront daddy as well as sister. Son kills Daddy Brother semi kills sister Blade kills Son or repear is his name Blade takes Headvamps daughter to see sun rise. Daughter burns up in Blades arms. End you might say? Naaaaaaaaa you will have to go see it
I saw the movie. You might want to consider editing your post & take the story line out before someone, that really wants to go see it, reads your post. The bottom line is that I believe the first one was better.
i thought blade 2 was a great movie, especially for anyone who enjoyed the first and likes these types of movies. defintely better than the first, which i also liked.
It looks more promising than the first. Does it actually have gore in it this time or is it all digitized crap again? I expect blood in a vampire movie, not cgi garbage.

I forgot to compare blades first one Blades a vampire/day walker Blade has a friend who helps blade control his thirst Blade has to confront a bad muther vampire who wants to use Blades blood to make them prone to sunlight as well. Blade wins battle over evil end of story. In theory Blade 2 is better As well too I just had a brain fart Blade also is almost milked of his blood as well in part 2!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm could this be a start of more sequels? YEP! already in talks!

Was it me or did a lot of the fight scenes: 1. Look like WWF matches 2. Look like they were hand drawn animation (especially the one in front of all those bright lights). I'd say the first one was better. There were several points where many people in the theater were laughing when I don't think the movie was supposed to be funny.
I prefer #1 but not by much this was good but i too did not like the CGI inthe fight scenes I needed me some N'bushe Wright .. . with out her this one just did not make it. The vampire chick was a cutie though. I love Rheinhart - ron Perlman has to be put on my list of underrated actors. Rocket River
Overall I liked it (possibly because I was drunk when I saw it), but #1 was far more entertaining in every way. This one definitely lacked in plot continuity, and the acting could have been better. Snipes doesn't even seem to have anything to contemplate except for whose head to chop/shoot off in this one... And Whistler takes up too much time, without any real development. Awesome effects, though some of the CGI strains the eyes. I'd give the first one an "A", and this one a "B-" or "C+"... Worth seeing if you've already seen everything else. And you're drunk.
Haha... the guys sitting behind me when I saw it were drunk. Towards the end, when the chick was crumbling to dust in Blade's arms, one of said fellows hiccuped and said "I had a b**** do that to me once..."
1. i think that was done on purpose (the suplex at the end actually got a cheer from my theater) 2. some of that scene was animated - but not all.
I completely disagree. It was revelling in it's campiness. A laugh is a totally appropriate response to seeing Blade Power Bomb the evil head vampire. No other action would be expected. I loved the wrestling choreography, it was perfect choice. They were making a comic book movie, and thank God they knew it.
Gascon is so right! This character is based on a comicbook and thats what they made was a comic book fantasy! Now if we can only just talk Mcfarlane into making his figurine! I got a look see at the new movie maniacs series 5 and blade got snuffed out of it again! They did make a blade figure but Mcfarlane does such a damn good job I have every figure hes made!
