Its speculated the Blackberry storm, for Verizon, will be released on Nov 21st? $199 after a $50 mir with a 2yr contract Anyone planning on purchasing it?
This Blackberry looks pretty sexy. Didn't like the look of the past ones. I'd get this if I didn't already get the G1. Which I am currently in love with.
Actually its going to be released on the 24th or 25th Book it And the price isn't final, maybe lower.... I'm debating between this and the G1. Its probablg going to be the G1 since I'm a software kinda of guy
I will be getting it. I need Blackberry, but love the cool things the other more advanced phones can do. This blends the two...not perfect yet, but my current phone is basically dying, and shouldn't have waited this long anyway...was originally thinking about the Bold...super pumped when this was revealed. according to verizon email i got today it will be 11/21/08 and $199 after the $50 rebate.
What is the deal with the Bold? It looks the same as every other Blackberry IMO. ATT won't be getting any form of the Storm ever? Or will it happen eventually? The Bold looks... Meh.
Have you tried it? Great phone. My girlfriend just got one and I played with it for a couple days and its a solid piece of equipment. I'd rather have a blackbery with actual buttons than one with (clicking) touch screen. I'm probably getting one for myself soon.
Looking to get it. It looks pretty sweet you can do a demo on the website. I have an ad in my hand saying it will release on the 21st this month.
I think if you are going to get a blackberry... blackberry bold would be the better choice. If you just want a cool touchscreen phone... then just go with the iphone.
Agreed.....the Storm is missing two things... A. No Multi-Touch B. No WiFi With this in mind, iPhone still rules. But HTC just annnounced the MAX 4G, a new flagship smartphone (yes, even better then the Touch HD). Soon to be available in Russia. (Source: Electronista)
I talked to a cingular rep on Tuesday about this phone. He said they will come out with a version similar after the verizon version has worked out there kinks. Theirs should be out first of the year.
man, I got my Pearl earlier this year....already seems like an outdated arcahic phone. . Guess I'll be going to t-mobile in January to get a new one.
My initial reaction on the low price is the Storm won't be all what people are hoping for. If it isn't, RIM is in big trouble. It ain't good when you put yourself on the spot and don't deliver. For the record, I love my Blackberry 8700 and have no intention of replacing it any time soon. But if the Storm really is super-great, I'll get one when T-Mobile makes it available.
