I'm a wide-eyed naïf, but that's an awfully neat little thing.

Aren't you ashamed of the way our forefathers treated the native Americans? Genocide is something to be ashamed of IMO.

I am not an Obama fan nor am I a sensitive person, but this makes me happy. I have Cherokee roots and have long felt that the story of American's first "citizens" is the most tragic in our history. If a president Obama will help "Indian Affairs," then maybe some good will come from his presidency after all.

Haha, you can't accept a conservative independent finding cause to like your candidate without a rolling of the eyes?

I'm an undecided voter considering abstaining who just found a reason to think Obama might have some redeeming qualities for me despite disagreeing with most of his policies and you roll your eyes...

disagreeing with policies is one thing, totally writing off his presidency before it even happens if it happens is ridiculous.

Well obviously I'm only dealing hypotheticals because nobody can be certain what a president will do. But based on his policies, I think his presidency would go against most of what I believe in politically. Therefore, I am not in favor of his presidency. Now I find something he and I agree on that I feel strongly about. So because of that I find a silver lining in his candidacy that I did not see before.

This is a true blue genuine feeling of "maybe I'm wrong to think so lowly of his merit" post. There is no sarcasm and no intent of mocking him or running him down.

    i quite agree:

"For the first time in my adult lifetime, I'm really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. And I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction, and not just feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment."--M.O.B

...Just checking,...she was an "adult" during the Clinton golden era, and still not proud?... What will it take besides her and her husband getting all the glory and the power to be proud...?...I see...

For the record she was referring to voter engagement in elections when she said that. Voter turn out in this nation has been horrible, and she said for the first time her being proud of the way people are taking an interest in the election.

    It's not really that controversial.

    basso,
i'm not a democrat. cockblocker is a term used for men- how is that sexist. on the other hand, i will admit that i've called her a b**** on numerous occasions because i can't think of a better word to describe her. if that's sexist then please send my appologies to all the females in your life. TIA

    heh

Isn't it amusing how our GOP guys can't quite fathom that it isn't just Dems that are making fun of them.

those of us with no party affiliation are free to make fun of both sides, thats one of the joys of being a independent kinda guy.

far left Dems are just as laughable in their ideas as the far right Repubs if ya ask me.

but at least the far left Dems dont feel the need to send other people to kill brown people to feel like real men.
