First off I realize this will probably be seen as offensive but I really cannot think of any other way to say it. I live in a mostly black community so when I go to the store or anywhere really I am kinda an outcast. Most of the time totally ignored or my greetings are rebuffed. When people are outside of the store asking for donations they don't even talk to me. Since Obama has won THEY are the ones greeting ME and its really been quite nice. Before I saw the Rev. Wright tapes I had no clue the community saw the country that way and its been pretty nice to have them feeling so patriotic. I hope this lasts a while.
First off I realize this will probably be seen as offensive but I really cannot think of any other way to say it... you're an idiot.. sorry, no offense, but just like you had a personal belief that the black "community" saw the country "that way", u know, like Rev. Wright, I hold a personal belief that you're an idiot.. I'm hoping that you start having a brain, u know, kinda like black people in your neighborhood started feeling "so patriotic".. I'm not black btw..
they're happy obama won palin and simple.. that does not necessarily mean they were angry or unpatriotic before..
Well your story shows you're observant of people different from you, which is always admirable. However, I think even you will eventually realize why it seems patronizing and naive. But I believe, in your heart, that you subconsciously want us to be happier, so I guess it's okay????
It is not patronizing. When someone is happy it does not just impact them and their group it impacts everyone that interacts with them. The reason I posted this, I thought it was obvious, but its because its much nicer going to the store now.
I'll help you out, hoping you are being sincere: It's entirely possible that the rantings of Wright are not representative of the 'community'.
i see what you did there... STOP...haiku time get a bucket we need a palin here 'fore we drown in these tears p.s. bawwwww race card bawwwwww
Yeah I know not everyone and probably not even the majority feel that way but after those videos got out through discussions with friends I found out that it is not uncommon in certain church to hear that.
pretty obvious OP doesnt have many black friends. some of the happiest and most friendly people ive ever met happen to be black people. as for Rev. Wright goes...im surpised more older black people arent like that. i think if i had to live through the 50s and 60's i'd say some of that stuff too.
wow you are totally wrong. Its actually funny when I know someone is wrong because I can easily tell when they are full of crap. Its much better then when they tell me like the economy will be fine in 2009 and I just suspect they are wrong.
