hahah. people are just nuts these days. in the age of online shopping..there's no point of being crazy and buying things you don't need on one day. for every 1 good deal, you gotta sort out through 20 bad deals..
I gave up door buster shopping years ago. It is just insane now and for the most part it's not worth it. My daughter and her friend begged the friend's dad to take them BF shopping last night. The dude was a trooper to take them into the worst place you can go IMO. The texts were funny from a 16 year old girl who had no clue. Dad- Target's parking lot is full and we can't find a place to park. Waiting in line to get in. They only let people in shifts. The line stopped moving...leaving...going to the mall. This is crazy...there is a looooong line wrapping around to get in. <20 minutes later>left and coming home. So I have my coffee, paper and breakfast before heading out around 8am to see what filler items they might have left me. Most things I was looking for were still there but things that were cleaned out... Towels (not a gift)...normally $3.47...BF sale...$2 for a whopping $1.47 savings per towel. Hello Kitty pj pants...normall $10...BF sale..$8 for a whopping $2 savings... Seriously people...i know that the campers might get lucky but for the rest of the masses...was that really worth it?
I did not camp and got some good deals on housewares and earrings for Refgal. Totally worth it. I also got a signature suit, shirt and tie for my 21 year old stepson for $250 with alterations plus tax. I showed up at 10:45 last nit and was home by 1:00. Totally worth it.
I was in and out of Jos. A Bank in about 30 minutes last night. Went to the one off of 1960 -- there were only about four people in the entire store. It was perfect.
Jos. A Banks has deals but is not a BF hotspot. I am just saying that it has gotten crazy at the main BF players... BB, Target, Walmart, Toys-R-Us...etc. those used to be bad but now it's just crazy. And now you have new players trying to get a seat at the table like Sears.
Other than not getting Brave, we beasted Wal-Mart last night. There was a fight over sheets at at least 2 Wal-Marts in our area, but we got ours. Its amazing how much worse the smaller stuff is then the bigger stuff.
hahahah ...what he said. http://www.experian.com/blogs/hitwise/2012/10/10/identifying-online-black-friday-shoppers/
I went to Best Buy at like 2:30 to get a TV I've been wanting for a while and pretty much everything was still there and it wasn't very crowded.
