Riding a wave of recent martial art film successes, a new cable network called Blackbelt TV hopes to carry that popularity to the small screen by packaging it into a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week channel. Under the guidance of Hollywood producer Larry Kasanoff, the channel aims to draw viewers with replays of movies and television shows by martial arts stars like Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris and Jet Li. That could be really cool. I just watched 5 Deadly Venoms recently, and it was great. I have been renting about 1 Kung-Fu movie a week, but that could get expensive. That channel sounds like a great thing. Thanks for the heads up.
NO!!!! Well, as long as they keep the Segal and Van Damme to a minimum, although I did like Bloodsport minus the cheesy romance scenes. I hope they don't limit it to the more commercialized martial arts movie stars. I'd love to be able to see some of the "Kung Fu Sunday" movies I used to watch as a kid.
i've got a black belt in Tae Kwon Do... wonder if they would hire me for a part? i could be a stunt double in a new tv series, if they were to create one!
Why are people always hating on Steven? Just because he has to have only one side of his face lit so that you can't see that he's cross-eyed? Admit it, you biggots. You have something against cross-eyed people! Where's the cross-eyed smilie face when I need it?
HELL YEA . . HOW DO I SIGN UP!! Rocket River I just hope they don't get movies with the most tenuous connection to martial arts like the sci fi channel does sometimes. .. those that leave you saying. . THIS IS SCI FI???
You attacked my mother Reva, insulted the family honor! How do you like my tiger style! Prepare to die!
